  • Patent number: 4937475
Abstract: A laser programmable integrated circuit chip has a plurality of logic modules organized as rows and columns. The modules and other chip components are connected by a grid-like array of conductors. The conductors are initially unattached. Customization occurs by fusing laser diffuseable links and severing cut points on the conductors. The modules have continuous conductor lines running through them. These conductor lines aid in testing and are useful in routing and error avoidance. The chip also contains test registers to test the array of logic modules, the input/output blocks, and the conductors.

  • Patent number: 4523877
Abstract: A method and apparatus for installing a pipeline riser (90) through a J-tube (40) at a spud can-founded, compliant, offshore platform (20) are disclosed. The J-tube is mounted on the platform above the maximum expected mudline (28). An upper longitudinal section (44) of the J-tube passes through guide rings (46) on the platform while a lower longitudinal section (48) is maintained free of the platform. After platform settlement, the J-tube is lowered to an elevation near the actual mudline (30). During riser installation through the J-tube, a lower end (54) of the J-tube is restrained from lateral movement by a latch (70) attached to the platform. Before production operations, the lower end is released from the latch so that flexibility of the J-tube accommodates movement of the platform.

  • Patent number: 4247439
Abstract: Water-borne reaction products of (a) carboxyl-functional polymers; (b) polyepoxides; and (c) tertiary amines are useful as film-forming components of coating compositions which can be spray-, flow-, dip-, roller-, or electro-coated. The coating compositions are useful as such or can be crosslinked with crosslinking agents such as a nitrogen resin and, when coated on metal and paper substrates, they provide coatings of improved properties, including a high degree of flexibility during machining and stamping of the coated articles, corrosion resistance, gloss, hydrolytic stability, and nonadulterating of foods and beverages in contact therewith.
