  • Publication number: 20020066878
Abstract: A water flow timer comprising a main body, a water stopping membrane, a control rod, a bottom cover, a control member, a rotating member, a timing member, and a rotary cap, the timer is mechanically operated in such a way that the rotary cap is turned to actuate the control member to force the control rod to slide, thereby resulting in a gap between the water stopping membrane and a bottom opening of an inner chamber of the main body. The inner and the outer chamber of the main body are thus in communication with each other. As the rotary cap is turned, the torsion spring of the timing member is compressed to provide the rotary cap with a recovery force. The recovery of the rotary cap is delayed by an intermittent gear, so as to control the timing of the water flow.

  • Patent number: 6367716
Abstract: A pistol nozzle is provided with a water emission controlling structure which is located at the water outlet of the main body of the pistol nozzle and is formed of an adjusting member and a shaft having a water emission hole. The shaft is actuated by the adjusting member to displace so as to align the water emission hole with a sleeve which is located between the main body and the nozzle head of the pistol nozzle. The amount of water emitted by the pistol nozzle depends on the extent to which the water emission hole of the shaft is aligned with the sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20010040961
Abstract: A method of processing a phone dialing process. At first, whether the dial key signal of the dial device is inputted is checked. When the dial key signals of the dial device are inputted and the dial device is not connected, that is, a user is pressing a phone number, the values corresponding to the inputted dial key signals are sequentially stored in a first memory. When the dial device is connected but the dial key signals of the dial device are still inputted, which means that the user is pressing an extension number or a key instruction, the values corresponding to the inputted dial key signal are also stored in the first memory. In addition, at least a time value is stored in a second memory. During the redial procedure, the time value can be used to properly process the time delay problem between the normal phone number and the extension number.

  • Publication number: 20010033273
Abstract: A touch panel device driver for processing inputs from a touch panel. The touch panel device driver operates in either a normal mode or a compact mode. If the touch panel device driver operates in the normal mode, x and y coordinate data for all touched points from the touch panel are processed. If the touch panel device driver operates in the compact mode, only the x and y coordinate data for the pen-up and pen-down points from the touch panel are processed. Thereby, the system workload is reduced significantly.

  • Patent number: 6199913
Abstract: A fast hose connector comprises a guide tube and an arresting tube movably fitted over the guide tube. The arresting tube is provided in the inner wall thereof with two elastic retaining bodies capable of releasably arrest a tube that is inserted into the guide tube via the arresting tube. As the arresting tube is pressed to slide downward along the guide tube, the elastic retaining bodies become disengaged with the tube so as to enable the tube to be pulled out of the connector.

  • Patent number: 6186624
Abstract: A decorative eyeglasses fame includes a front composed of a first part and a second part between which a lens member is clamped, and two temples respectively connected to the second part. The second part has two connection blocks on two ends thereof and the lens member has two recesses in two ends so that the two connection blocks are engaged with the two recesses of the lens member. The two parts of the front and the two temples are made of foam material so that different shapes and colors can be conveniently made.

  • Patent number: 5996198
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for ribbing cloth venetian blind strips in an efficient and mass production manner. The apparatus includes a group of strip pressing mechanisms which hold a strip to be ribbed in place and define a reference plane for other mechanisms in the apparatus during the ribbing operation. After the strip is pressed in place, a tubular space opening mechanism is actuated to open front ends of two previously flattened tubular spaces at two sides of the strip. Thereafter, two tubular space expanding mechanisms pushes the strip from the two sides thereof to vertically expand the already partially opened tubular spaces, allowing ribs to be fed into and extended through the expanded tubular spaces by a rib conveying mechanism. The cloth strips for venetian blind can therefore be accurate, quickly ribbed at two sides in a mass production manner.

  • Patent number: 5984207
Abstract: A pistol-type water nozzle has a body provided with an actuating member and a control valve seat capable of being actuated by the actuating member. The control valve seat is composed of a valve seat tube, a valve tube member, a slide rod, a press rod member, and a tension spring. The valve seat tube is provided with a plurality of locating cavities. The valve tube member is provided with a plurality of protuberances. The valve tube member is fitted into the valve seat tube such that the protuberances of the valve tube member are retained in the locating cavities of the valve seat tube. The slide rod is slidably received in an axial hole of the valve tube member. The press rod member is provided with an action block and is received in the axial hole of the slide rod. The tension spring is fitted into the valve tube member such that the slide rod is urged by one end of the tension spring, and that the tubular handle of the body is urged by another end of the tension spring.

  • Patent number: 5927172
Abstract: Disclosed is a venetian blind cutting machine including a worktable on which a cylinder, multiple dies, a limiting mechanism, and a cutting tool connected to an output end of the cylinder are arranged. A die holder is fixed onto the worktable to hold selected dies. The dies are formed of sliding channels into which the cutting tool extends to slidably move. The cutting tool is formed of multiple blades in the same number as that of dies on the die holder. The limiting mechanism is adjustably located at one side of the dies to hold components of a venetian blind in place, so that the venetian blind can be accurately cut to desired dimensions by the blades of the cutting tool.

  • Patent number: 5799557
Abstract: A venetian blind cutting machine including a support framework, a cutter module replaceably mounted on a top of the support framework, two air cylinders for driving cutters mounted in the cutter module, two sets of quick couplings for connecting the air cylinders to an upper cutter, a strip cutter, and a lower cutter mounted in a cutter seat of the cutter module, a blind supporter pivotally connected to the support framework in front of the cutter module for stably supporting a venetian blind to be cut, and a blind locating assembly fixedly mounted behind the cutter module for adjustably deciding the length of the venetian blind to extend into the cutter module for cut. With the cutter module containing three cutters for an upper rail, strips, and a lower rail of the venetian blind and the two air cylinders connected to the cutters via the quick couplings, the cutters can be driven by the air cylinders to neatly cut the rails and strips of the blind by only one cut.

  • Patent number: 5585253
Abstract: A cloned gene (epr) encoding a novel extracellular protease, Epr, from Bacillus subtilis is described. Also described is a triple extracellular neutral, alkaline and serine protease deficient Bacillus subtilis mutant strain having deletions in the (npr), (apr) and (epr) genes encoding these proteases. The triple mutant strain was constructed by the gene conversion technique and produces about 1% of the extracellular proteolytic activity of the wild type. It is a particularly useful host for the production of heterologous proteins that are secreted into the growth medium.
