The first and second conductive devices have V-shaped scallops electrically connected with one another. Each V-shaped scallop is disposed in a corresponding groove. The lamps are disposed parallel to one another, each having a first and second ends respectively disposed in the grooves of the third and fourth fixed seats, for fixing the lamps. Depth and area of each V-shaped scallop both exceed a diameter of the lamp. A liquid crystal display device utilizing the backlight module is also disclosed.

A power supply for altering an output power by detecting a power requirement of an electronic device and the electronic device having a memory. The power supply comprises a converter, a control device and a switch. The converter is able to convert an input power into the output power applied to the electronic device. The control device is coupled to the converter reads power information concerning the power requirement from the electronic device and accordingly controlling the converter to adjust the output power. The switch coupled both the converter and the control device receives a control signal of the control device and switches an output port of the power supply to the converter to transfer the output power from the converter to the electronic device.

Abstract: A bond positioning method for a wire-bonding process and a substrate for the bond positioning method are provided. At least one solder mask mark is formed in a solder mask layer on the substrate, such that during the wire-bonding process, the solder mask mark serves as a reference point for determining deviation of the solder mask layer and performing coordinate compensation according to the deviation so as to re-define positioning of a second bonding point of a bonding wire. This can overcome defects relating to bonding wires such as bending, cracking, or detachment of the bonding wires caused by undesirable contact between the bonding wires and the solder mask layer in the conventional wire-bonding process, thereby improving the production yield of the wire-bonding process, reducing material costs associated with defective products, and reducing the overall fabrication costs.

Abstract: A network has a server and a plurality of terminals connected to the server. The terminals are capable of requesting the server to transfer a program. The server responds to the request of the terminals by broadcasting the program to the terminals. The method for transferring the program via the network uses a terminal to request the server to re-transfer the program when the terminal receives only a portion of the program requested by another terminal instead of receiving the complete program during a timeout period. The method and the network system for transferring programs are capable of substantially reducing the transferring time for an operating system and effectively improving the transferring efficiency to overcome the prior art shortcomings.

Abstract: This invention relates to a unit selection module for Chinese Text-to-Speech (TTS) synthesis, mainly comprising a probabilistic context free grammar (PCFG) parser, a latent semantic indexing (LSI) module, and a modified variable-length unit selection scheme; any Chinese sentence is firstly input and then parsed into a context-free grammar (CFG) by the PCFG parser; wherein there are several possible CFGs for every Chinese sentence, and the CFG (or the syntactic structure) with the highest probability is then taken as the best CFG (or the syntactic structure) of the Chinese sentence; the LSI module is then used to calculate the structural distance between all the candidate synthesis units and the target unit in a corpus; through the modified variable-length unit selection scheme, tagged with the dynamic programming algorithm, the units are searched to find the best synthesis unit concatenation sequence.

Abstract: A section of heat treated solid steel rod receives a phosphate solution treatment and is inserted into a blind cavity of a first die member within a cold forging press. A punch is forced axially into the rod section in successive steps to cold-forge a first bore and a tubular first end portion of a coupler body. A second end portion of the coupler body is also cold-forged in successive steps after treatments and is either reduced in diameter to receive external threads or is formed with a second bore. Each of the first and second bores receives an end portion of a concrete reinforcing bar after which the tubular end portion of body is compressed or swaged inwardly to secure the body to the reinforcing bar. The second bore may also be machined with internal threads for receiving the external threads on another coupler.

In addition, the water flow rate of the flow control valve is controlled exactly by provision of the water outlet holes having different sizes, thereby facilitating a user operating and controlling the water output the flow control valve.

Abstract: A method of processing a phone dialing process. At first, whether the dial key signal of the dial device is inputted is checked. When the dial key signals of the dial device are inputted and the dial device is not connected, that is, a user is pressing a phone number, the values corresponding to the inputted dial key signals are sequentially stored in a first memory. When the dial device is connected but the dial key signals of the dial device are still inputted, which means that the user is pressing an extension number or a key instruction, the values corresponding to the inputted dial key signal are also stored in the first memory. In addition, at least a time value is stored in a second memory. During the redial procedure, the time value can be used to properly process the time delay problem between the normal phone number and the extension number.

Abstract: An image-capturing device and method for removing strangers from an image are described. First, a first image is input. Then, a control module determines if an unwanted object processing step is needed, and obtains a result. If the result is no, the first image is directly sent to an output module. If the result is yes, an image-identifying module begins to identify the target-image and the unwanted object in the first image, and then, an unwanted object processing module starts the step to process unwanted images. The unwanted object processing step can remove the unwanted object from an image and fill the left lacuna region. Afterwards, a second image is produced and sent to the output module.

Abstract: A backlight module includes a bezel and a reflective shell. The bezel includes a bezel base, a bezel side plate connected to the bezel base, and an engagement structure mounted on an external side surface of the bezel side plate. The reflective shell includes a reflective shell top plate and a reflective shell side plate, which is connected to the reflective shell top plate and has an engagement hole to be engaged with the engagement structure such that the reflective shell is tightly combined with the bezel.

Abstract: A water timer includes a housing, which is available with a water inlet and at least two water outlets. Some water channels are separately mounted between water inlet and water outlets. Some membranes are provided within the water channel to control the start/stop of water flow and a time set is installed onto the top of the housing and connected to a membrane via the help of a brake bar. The water inlet, two water outlets and water channel are integrated into the housing. Moreover, the water inlet is designed with a concave “”-shaped Y-branch at a first side of the housing, where it forms a first inlet, second inlet and a manifold branch. With an open lateral surface, the manifold branch is enclosed by a connecting seat. And, the exterior of connecting seat is applied for the linking of the water supply connector.
