  • Patent number: 11735844
Abstract: An interconnect system includes various anti-backout latches that are movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. When in the engaged position, the anti-backout latches can be configured to prevent an interconnect module, such as an optical transceiver, from becoming unmated from a host module. When in the disengaged position, the anti-backout latches permit the interconnect module to become unmated from a host module. Securement members are also disclosed that secure a heat sink to a module housing of the interconnect module.

  • Publication number: 20230196350
Abstract: A technique for improving the security of a portable consumer device may include storing a first account identifier and a second account identifier associated with the first account identifier, the second account identifier and the first account identifier being associated with the same account on the portable consumer device. When the portable consumer device is interacting with a reader device to conduct a transaction, the portable consumer device may determine whether the transaction is a proximity transaction by sensing whether a wireless interrogation signal is being transmitted from the reader device, and determine which of the first account identifier and the second account identifier to provide to the reader device based on whether the transaction is a proximity transaction.

  • Publication number: 20230156953
Abstract: A substrate reinforcement or stiffener can be toolless, slide-on, slide-off, and removable. A hold down can carry pre-attached solder balls, solder units, or fusible elements. Fusible elements can be shaped to reduce thermal and mechanical stresses when reflowed onto a substrate. A heat-producing article can include a heat-dissipation material selectively located on, or immediately adjacent to, a heat-producing article. Clips with a plurality of fingers can be added to power conductors. Graphene strips, graphene coatings, or nanomaterials can be applied to electrically non-conductive articles and are able to selectively direct unwanted heat away from the heat-producing article. Electro-magnetic interference can be reduced by selective placement of voids in a shield of an electrical component.

A top metal layer is above the semiconductor surface including top metal lines that are electrically connected through a metal stack including metal interconnects that electrically connect to the circuitry. The top metal lines are configured in a primary orientation that collectively represents at least 50% of a total length of the top metal lines in a first direction. The top metal layer includes bond pads exposed from a passivation layer. The metal features are positioned lateral to and not directly electrically connected to the top metal layer and/or are positioned on the passivation layer. At least a majority of a total area of the metal features is not over metal interconnects. • Publication number: 20230133210
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems pertaining to the verification of portable consumer devices for 3-D Secure Systems are disclosed. In one implementation, a verification token is coupled to a computer by a USB connection so as to use the computer's networking facilities. The verification token reads identification information from a user's portable consumer device (e.g., credit card) and sends the information to a validation entry over a communications network using the computer's networking facilities. The validation entity applies one or more validation tests to the information that it receives from the verification token. If a selected number of tests are passed, the validation entity sends a 3-D Secure datum to the verification token. The verification token may enter the 3-D Secure datum into a hidden field of a Purchase Authentication Page appearing on the computer's display.
