Abstract: A first reference line representing a route from a first location to a second location associated with an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV). In response to the first reference line multiple sets of sample points are generated based on the first reference line. Each set of sample points includes a first subset of sample points and a second subset of sample points that are offset from the first subset of sample points. A plurality of segments is generated between the multiple sets of sample points. A path for the ADV is generated based on the plurality of segments. The path includes one sample point from each of the multiple sets of sample points.

  • Patent number: 10336931
Abstract: The present invention relates to the well drilling field in petrochemical industry, in particular to use of dual-cation fluorocarbon surfactant as amphiphobic wettability reversal agent in drilling fluid. The dual-cation fluorocarbon surfactant is a dual-cation fluorocarbon surfactant of which the cation part is represented by the following formula (1). The dual-cation fluorocarbon surfactant of the present invention can serve as wettability reversal agent when it is used for oil-gas drilling to enable rock amphiphobic, and is an amphiphobic wettability reversal agent which can cause rock surface to be non-hydrophilic and non-lipophilic. Using of dual-cation fluorocarbon surfactant, especially when drilling highly hydrous mud shale, can avoid permeation of water and oil into the rock effectively and thereby a capillary phenomenon can be prevented, and an effect of stabilizing the well wall and protecting the reservoir is attained.

  • Patent number: 10296538
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a content analysis module receives content information of a content item, the content information including a plurality of first keywords associated with the content item. The content analysis module performs an analysis on the first keywords associated with the content item. A keyword classifier categories the first keywords into a plurality of categories based on the analysis, each category including one or more second keywords selected from the first keywords. For each of the categories, one or more images are identified based on the corresponding second keywords. A category/image mapping module generates a category/image mapping table for the content item to map each of the categories to the corresponding identified images. The category/image mapping table is utilized to match the content item to one of the images based on a subsequent category determined in response to a search query.

  • Patent number: 10296535
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a content item is received that was identified in response to a search query received from a client. It is determined whether the search query is within a predetermined percentage of total search queries that yield the content item. In response to determining that the search query is within the predetermined percentage of the total search queries, a search is performed in an image store based on one or more keywords associated with the search query to identify a list of one or more images and one of the identified images is selected to be matched with the content item. Otherwise, a predetermined preferred image is selected to be matched with the content item. The content item is incorporated with the selected image to generate a composite content item to be transmitted to the client.

  • Patent number: 10289700
Abstract: According to one embodiment, in response to a search query received from a client device for searching content, one or more first keywords are determined from the search query. A lookup operation is performed in an image-to-keyword (image/keyword) mapping table based on the first keywords. The image/keyword mapping table includes a plurality of entries, each entry mapping an image identifier (ID) identifying an image to one or more second keywords. For each of images identified in the image/keyword mapping table, a matching degree is determined between the first keywords and the second keywords. A ranking process is performed based on matching degrees on a plurality of images identified in the image/keyword mapping table whose second keywords match at least a portion of the first keywords.

  • Patent number: 10276085
Abstract: This application relates to systems, methods, and apparatus for compensating voltage for pixels of a display panel based on the location of the pixels within the display panel. An amount of voltage compensation is assigned to each pixel or a group of pixels within the display panel in accordance with a calibration of the display panel. During operation of the display panel, pixel data is generated for a location of the display panel, and the pixel data is modified according to the amount of voltage compensation corresponding to the location. By modifying the pixel data in this way, spatial variations in voltage across the display panel can be mitigated in order to reduce the occurrence of certain display artifacts at the display panel.

  • Patent number: 10221231
Abstract: The present invention relates to fusion proteins for the expression of G-protein coupled receptor proteins (GPCR) with the fusion partners, as inserted fragments, from mammalian cells. The fusion partners are from a fragment of APJ protein (“the APJ protein fragment”) or a fragment with homology of more than 90% similarity to the APJ protein fragment; or a fragment of RGS16 protein (the “RGS16 protein fragment”) or a fragment with homology of more than 90% similarity to the RGS16 protein fragment; or the fragment of DNJ protein (the “DNJ protein fragment”) or a fragment with homology of more than 90% similarity to DNJ protein fragment. The fusion expression of GPCR with the above mentioned fusion partners can improve the protein yield and stability when purified from cells. Therefore, these fusion protein partners can be widely used for the study of GPCR proteins.

  • Patent number: 10192214
Abstract: Depositing funds onto smart cards for use during processing of purchases. A device creates a deposit request and transmits the request to a remote system. The remote system processes the request and transmits a deposit record to the device, which in turn transmits the record to the smart card. If the device has network access, it transmits a deposit confirmation to the remote system, which updates the smart card account to include the confirmation. If the device unable to connect to the remote system, the deposit confirmation is transmitted when the smart card is involved in a future transaction. During the future transaction, the smart card transmits its transaction history, which comprises the deposit confirmation, to the device, and the device transmits the transaction history to the remote system. The remote system updates the smart card account to include the deposit confirmation.
