    Abstract: A method for scanning television channels and a television system are provided. The television system includes a circuit system, a storage unit, and a control circuit. The circuit system is used to receive and demodulate television streaming data, separate information in the television streaming data, and decompress and convert the television streaming data into video and audio. The method is performed in the control circuit. In the method, a channel-selection transceiver circuit receives a channel-selection signal. After channel data stored in the storage unit is analyzed, it is determined whether the channel-selection signal corresponds to any television channel in the channel data. If the channel data does not include the television channel corresponding to the channel-selection signal, a scanning routine is performed in a background for scanning the television channels. A scanning result is then generated and used to update the channel data in the storage unit.

    Abstract: A dynamic capacitive power transfer system for an elevator that can realize the real-time powering of the elevator when it is in the moving status. It includes a metal track along the building side as the power transmitter and a piece of metal at the elevator side as the power receiver. There is a gap between the transmitter and receiver, and up to kW power can be transferred wirelessly and efficiently to serve the air conditioner, lightning, and other electronic devices in the moving car. The steel wheels and ropes may be used to connect the moving car to the earth ground, which contributes to form the current returning loop. It eliminates the electric cables and the corresponding flexible cable carrier system for the linear movement.

The method includes inputting a common periodic wave voltage to each of a plurality of battery cells of a battery pack. Recursively calculated correlation coefficients for each neighboring pair of the battery cells are used to determine whether a common battery cell of two neighboring pairs is faulty. The disclosure further describes equalizers for multi-cell battery packs and series-connected battery strings. The equalizers can include a coupling capacitor comprising a plurality of small plates coupled between the two series-connected metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) connected to each battery cell, and a larger plate, wherein the larger plate is commonly coupled to all of the small plates. A plurality of battery string groups can be equalized, where each cell includes one transformer winding and a MOSFET. The MOSFETs are driven using one pair of complementary pulse width modulation signals.
