Abstract: This disclosure provides methods and servers to transmit data packets via Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connections. In some aspects, transmitting data packets includes receiving a data packet from a first application on a first server. The data packet is analyzed to determine a destination address associated with a second server. The data packet is transmitted based on the address associated with the second server. In some aspects, transmitting data packets includes receiving a data packet from a second application on a second server. The data packet is analyzed to determine the destination address associated with a first application on the first server. The data packet is transmitted based on the address associated with the first application. In some aspects, transmitting data packets includes a flow control mechanism to control data transmission.

Abstract: A method for solving conflict between network searching and mobile phone traffic of a multi-card multi-standby mobile phone is provided. The method comprises storing network searching information of a first user card and processing the mobile phone traffic of a second user card, when conflict occurs between the network searching of the first user card and the mobile phone traffic of the second user card, and continuing to perform the network searching according to the stored network searching information of the first user card after completing the mobile phone traffic, when processing time of the mobile phone traffic of the second user card is less than or equal to a time threshold value. A multi-card multi-standby mobile phone is provided too.

Abstract: An apparatus for cross-browser testing of a web application is disclosed, including: a first broker residing among a plurality of browsers for receiving information of a user action from a browser operated by a user among the plurality of browsers and for transmitting the information of the user action to other browsers so that the other browsers can execute the user action; a second broker residing between the plurality of browsers and the web application for receiving at least one web request generated by executing the user action from the plurality of browsers and for determining whether to be able to merge the at least one web request, so as to determine whether the plurality of browsers are compatible with the web application. An associated method is also provided.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method for communicating an application processor and a modem. A physical link is provided between the application processor and the modem and corresponds to multiple virtual channels. The modem is embedded in a user equipment, and the user equipment is adapted for multiple user identification module cards. The method comprises: establishing, by the application processor, a relation of combining virtual channels to the user identification module card for receiving the service requests when service requests are sent to at least a user identification module card of the user equipment; and transferring the service requests to the user identification module card through the virtual channels which have the relation of combining to the user identification module card.

Abstract: A method for segmenting an object in a volume image, executed at least in part on a computer, renders the volume image data to a two-dimensional display screen showing first, second, and third mutually orthogonal planes in the two-dimensional rendering. One or more operator instructions that identify a plurality of seed points on the rendered volume image are accepted. Two-dimensional coordinates of the identified seed points on the display screen are converted to three-dimensional seed-point coordinates relating to the first, second, and third mutually orthogonal planes a segmentation operation is performed on the volume image according to the converted three-dimensional seed-point coordinates. Segmentation results are displayed on the display screen, relative to the first, second, and third mutually orthogonal planes.

Abstract: A solar spectrum splitter comprises a series of hollow core optical waveguides. All hollow core optical waveguides are made of photonic crystals. Each of the photonic crystal optical waveguide is mounted inside of the other photonic crystal optical waveguide so as to form a structure in which each of the outer optical waveguide encapsulates all of the inner optical waveguides. Each of the optical waveguides bends out via penetrating through all outer optical waveguides. Wherein, the concentrated sunlight incident into the inner-most hollow core optical waveguide is confined and its components will be extracted out in sequence.

Abstract: A concentrating hybrid solar thermal and photovoltaic collector comprises a close structure concentrator and a vacuum tube hybrid solar thermal and photovoltaic converter to generate electricity and high temperature heat in the mean time. The close structure of concentrator makes it possible to manufacture concentrator with thin and light-weight materials and get rid of support and fastening materials of conventional open concentrator, but still retain strong mechanical strength to against wind load. This structure enables the significant cost and weight reduction. This structure is also able to increase the optical efficiency relative to open system and provides natural protection to relative surface of the concentrator. This structure protects the thermal and photovoltaic converter from any contaminations.

Abstract: A method of generating a hazard-free representation of a logic circuit that can leverage the powerful and mature synchronous-circuit CAD synthesis tools. In a representative embodiment of the method, an initial representation of a specified asynchronous logic circuit is synthesized using one of such CAD tools. The initial representation is then analyzed to identify hazardous transitions and modified, e.g., by iteratively inserting additional logic aimed at preventing the identified hazardous transitions from producing glitches, until a hazard-free representation of the specified asynchronous logic circuit is produced.

Abstract: A solar concentrator comprises an upper transparent surface and a lower transparent surface. A reflective layer is on the lower transparent surface. The lower transparent surface is shaped such that the reflective layer reflects and concentrates incident light. A second concentrator which is a parabola is formed on the upper transparent surface as an integral portion of the surface such that the second concentrator reflects the concentrated sunlight back to the center of the lower transparent surface. The lower transparent surface further comprises a CPC (Compound Parabolic Concentrator) which is an integral portion of the surface to accommodate the concentrated light and couple it to receiver.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for dealing with the carrier conflict between the main card and subordinate card of a single-chip dual-card-dual-standby mobile phone, which includes a set one set of antenna, RF module and baseband processing chip and further comprises a radio resource adapter layer provided between the RRC layer and the physical layer. The RRC module calculates the position of the carriers of the main card and the subordinate card. The radio resource adapter layer determines the relative position between the carriers of main card and subordinate card so as to determine the type of the conflict, set priority levels to the services of the main card and subordinate card, and process the services according to the priority levels so as to avoid the conflict.

Abstract: A current control system includes a first switch, a second switch, and a controller. The second switch is coupled in parallel with the first switch and operable for providing a feedback signal indicative of a current flowing through the first switch. The feedback signal is determined by a width-to-length ratio of the first switch and a width-to-length ratio of the second switch. In addition, the controller is coupled to the first and second switches and operable for adjusting the current according to the feedback signal.

Abstract: A method of dealing with business conflict of a dual-card-dual-standby mobile phone includes the steps as follows. Calculate the period of the periodic location update of the main card and subordinate card respectively, and reset a new period of the periodic location update. Comparing to the original period of the periodic location update, the new period of the periodic location update is reduced by twice of a time for the mobile phone to do the location update. Thus, when the first location update is delayed due to the terminating call, it still has time for the second location update. Set priority level for each conflicting services, so as to avoid the service conflict, such as the conflict between the originating and terminating call and the location update, and the conflict between the location update of main card and subordinate card.
