    Abstract: Satellites in a non-terrestrial network may provide positioning reference signals (PRS) to user equipment (UE), with which the UE may determine its position using propagation delay difference measurements, such as Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) measurement. Due to the large distances between satellites and the UE, the propagation delay differences in the PRS received from satellites may exceed half a radio frame, resulting in a frame level timing ambiguity in the differential measurements. The satellites transmit secondary PRS, along with primary PRS, that include timing information to resolve frame level timing ambiguity of the primary PRS. The positioning occasions in the secondary PRS, for example, may be aligned with corresponding positioning occasions primary PRS within each radio frame, and are transmitted with a periodicity that is an integer multiple (greater than 1) of that of the primary PRS to resolve the frame level timing ambiguity of the primary PRS.

    Abstract: A method for suppressing coherent and polarization-induced fading by simultaneous monitoring of loss and vibration is provided. By using merely common single-mode sensing fibers, the polarization diversity-based measurement method solves the conflict between ?-OTDR and COTDR in terms of polarization state. In addition, the method not only achieves a better coherent fading noise suppression effect but also enhances the capability of recognizing small loss events in the monitoring of loss parameters. Meanwhile, the method can suppress the influence of coherent fading on the phase demodulation of ?-OTDR and reconstruct a vibration signal with high fidelity in the monitoring of perturbation parameters, which can effectively reduce the error rate of external perturbation warning.

    Abstract: An image generation method obtains an original image. A character area, a background area, and a position of each flawless character in the original image are determined. The character area is segmented to obtain a first image of each flawless character. A background is removed from the first image to obtain a second image. First image processing is performed on the second image to obtain a third image. Second image processing is performed on the second image to obtain fourth images. Third image processing is performed on the fourth images respectively to obtain fifth images. A similarity between each fifth image and the third image is calculated. When the similarity is greater than a defect threshold, a background image is segmented. Brightness of the background image is adjusted. The target fourth image and adjusted background image are synthesized. The method can generate images with defective characters quickly.

The repetition configuration may indicate a set of redundancy versions (RVs), a quantity of resource elements (REs) for each RV, and a quantity of repetitions for each RV. The UE may generate a transport block (TB) using the OCC configuration, and the instances of the RVs of the TB may be mapped to REs of the TB based on the multiplexing order and OCC configuration.
