Abstract: A method of communicating for a communication apparatus, which includes: a terminal apparatus transmitting the information frames to a central office apparatus; the central office apparatus receiving the information frames and obtaining the terminal apparatus information from the information frames; the central office apparatus processing the information frames transmitted from the terminal apparatus, using the terminal apparatus information obtained from the information frames; whereby communication between the central office apparatus and the terminals of different vendors is implemented.

Abstract: A power source supplier able to change its plug includes a main body and a plug. The main body has a recess provided with a plug engage block and plural elastic conducting strips. The recess has the opposite sides of its lower side bored with two position-limiting notches. The main body is further provided with a press button having its free end disposed with an elastic clasping member in the recess. The plug fitted with the main body has its rear side bored with a plug engage slot and plural connecting slots for receiving the plug engage block and the elastic conducting strips, and its periphery fixed with two engage members matching with the position-limiting notches. The plug is provided with a connecting block having a rear engage groove for receiving the clasping member. Thus, different-structured plugs can be easily and accurately assembled on the main body.

Abstract: A method of button routing editing for a storage medium menu containing at least one button is provided. The method includes steps of (a) displaying a routing reminder on a button with an incorrect routing status; (b) selecting at least one button; (c) displaying a routing controller on the selected button, wherein the routing controller comprises a first control button, a second control button, a third control button and a fourth control button; and (d) selecting one of the above-mentioned control buttons, and then selecting a target button to set a routing direction target for the selected control button to the target button, wherein after the steps (b)-(d) are performed, if there exists any button with an incorrect routing status, the routing reminder is displayed thereon, and if there exists any button with a correct routing status, no routing reminder is displayed thereon.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) array substrate and its manufacturing method are provided. Scan lines and data lines of the LCD array substrate are composed of two conductive layers to decrease their RC delay. Moreover, the dielectric layer and even the planarization layer are removed from pixel areas defined by the scan lines and the data lines to increase the light penetration percentage.

Abstract: The present invention provides an optical head with a single or multiple sub-wavelength light beams, which can be used in arenas such as photolithography, optical storage, optical microscopy, to name a few. The present invention includes a transparent substrate, a thin film, and a surface structure with sub-wavelength surface profile. The incident light transmits through the transparent substrate, forms a surface plasma wave along the sub-wavelength aperture located within the thin film, and finally re-emits through spatial coupling with the sub-wavelength profile of the surface structure. As the coupled re-emitting light beam or light beams can maintain the waist less than that of the diffraction limit for a few micrometers out of the surface with sub-wavelength profile in many cases, this invention can have applications ranging from micro or nano manufacturing, metrology, and manipulation by using light beams with waist smaller than the diffraction limit.

Abstract: A heat pipe includes a hollow metal casing (10). The casing has an evaporating section (120) and a condensing section (160) at respective opposite ends thereof, and an adiabatic section (140) located between the evaporating section and the condensing section. A capillary wick structure (12) is arranged at an inner surface of the hollow metal casing. A sealed heat reservoir (20) is mounted on the evaporating section of the heat pipe to increase heat absorbing area of the heat pipe. The heat reservoir has working fluid and a capillary wick structure (22) therein. Heat generated by a heat source is first absorbed by the heat reservoir and then transferred to the evaporating section of the metal casing.

Abstract: An analog front-end (AFE) circuit of a digital display is disclosed including: a first circuit to intermittently invert a working clock to generate a control signal and to generate a sampling signal, wherein the sampling signal is corresponding to the working clock; a first analog-to-digital converter (ADC) coupled to the first circuit for converting an analog video signal into a first digital video signal according to the sampling signal; a second analog-to-digital converter coupled to the first circuit for converting the analog video signal into a second digital video signal according to the sampling signal; and a first multiplexer for selectively outputting the first digital video signal or the second digital video signal according to the control signal.

Abstract: An image signal processing method adapted to an AFE device, which respectively generates first and second colors of digital signals according to first and second colors of analog signals. First, the first color of odd and even signals and the second color of odd and even signals are generated according to the first and second colors of analog signals, respectively. In a single channel mode, the first color of odd or even signal serves as the first color of digital signal for output, and the second color of odd or even signal serves as the second color of digital signal for output. In a dual channel mode, the first color of odd signal and second color of even signal are synchronously outputted, and the first color of even signal and second color of odd signal are also synchronously outputted. The first color of odd and even signals are combined to form the first color of digital signal, and the second color of odd and even signals are combined to form the second color of digital signal.

Abstract: A container includes: a container body defining an inner space; a cap mounted securely on the container body and including an annular inner wall having an inner surface that defines a fluid passage for fluid communication with the inner space, and a seat secured to the annular inner wall and extending into the fluid passage; a valve including a sealing member disposed in the fluid passage and disposed above and seated on the seat; and an operating unit including a pressing member that is disposed in the fluid passage and that is disposed above and that abuts against the sealing member. The sealing member is deformable so as to be deformed to contact sealingly the inner surface of the annular inner wall by pressing action of the pressing member when the operating unit is moved from a first axial position to a second axial position.

Abstract: In general, the present invention is directed to systems and methods for finding the gait parameters of an animal using video. The invention includes a system with a video camera coupled to a computer in which the computer is configured to automatically provide animal segmentation, foot identification, foot tracking, and gait parameter calculation. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention may use a treadmill apparatus with a transparent tread or belt for gait parameter calculation. A camera may be placed directly underneath the transparent tread such that the bottom view of the animal walking or running on the transparent tread is captured by the camera. A tilted mirror may also be placed directly underneath the transparent tread in order to reflect the bottom view images to the side where they are captured by a high-speed camera. Thus, the present invention is capable of automatically monitoring a video image to identify, track and classify the actions of various animals' feet within the image.

Abstract: An external device of a mobile phone for inputting and permuting original script comprises a handwriting sensing device for sensing handwriting script and generating script coordinates or displacement data; a transmission interface for transmitting the script coordinates or displacement data to a mobile phone; a means for compressing or expansion the scripts from the mobile phone into figure lattices of the same height; and permuting the figure lattices on a display screen of the mobile phone in order so as to form a drawing showing original scripts. Furthermore, a method is included, which comprises the steps of sensing handwriting script and generating script coordinates or displacement data; transferring the script coordinates or displacement data to a mobile phone; compressing or expansion the scripts from the mobile phone into figure lattices of the same height; and permuting the figure lattices on a display screen of the mobile phone.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: forming multiple spacers having a cavity on the upper substrate or on the lower substrate; injecting adhesives or binders in the cavities of the spacers; and curing the adhesives or the binders in the cavities to bind the upper substrate and the lower substrate. Through the method illustrated above, the strength for combining these two substrates can be enhanced. Moreover, the uniformity of the gap inside the LCD panel, and the gravity mura resulted from the gravity can be improved. Therefore, the lifetime of the LCD can be extended.

Abstract: A method for the joint optimization of language model performance and size is presented comprising developing a language model from a tuning set of information, segmenting at least a subset of a received textual corpus and calculating a perplexity value for each segment and refining the language model with one or more segments of the received corpus based, at least in part, on the calculated perplexity value for the one or more segments.

The apparatus detects whether the image data corresponds to one of a plurality of predetermined patterns to generate a detection result, selects one of a plurality of processing algorithms according to the detection result, and processes the image data according to the selected processing algorithm.

Abstract: Concentrates of a carbon-based filler—such as carbon nanotubes, exfoliated graphite, and the like—and a macrocyclic polyester oligomer (also referred to herein as macrocyclic oligoester or MPO) are presented. When mixed with polymer, the MPO can act as a flow modifier, as well as a carrier for the carbon-based filler, allowing enhanced processability of the polymer-filler composite without adversely affecting the properties of the composite.

Abstract: The production method of the coating material comprising the steps of applying and drying liquid polyurethane (PU) material onto a release paper in order to form three polyurethane (PU) layers, rolling the composite layer and separating the release paper to form the composite coating material for covering the outer shells of electronic devices. The polyurethane (PU) composite coating material thereby produced comprises at least a colored surface layer and a substrate layer. The surface of the composite coating material is colored and has a relief-like pattern, which can provide users with a better visual or touch effect.

A playlist comprises a plurality of playlist items, each targeting one of the playable items to be displayed according to the arrangement of the playlist items. A designated inter-item position on the playlist for inserting a new playlist item is received. A former playlist item and a later playlist item adjacent to the new playlist item are automatically retrieved. A second playable item targeted by the new playlist item is automatically generated to simulate a transition effect transitioning from the end of the playable item targeted by the former playlist item to the beginning of the playable item targeted by the later playlist item.

Abstract: An apparatus and method (200) are disclosed for expanded coverage in a mesh network (100). A communication device (140) incorporating teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a controller (302) managing operation of a transceiver (320) in communication with the mesh and programmed to acquire (202) a network identification from a mesh node (120), transmit (204) the network identification and appear as another mesh node to clients, and forward traffic from wireless clients to the mesh node. The communication device can operate (206) as a node in the mesh using the network identification and operate (208) as an independent router using a separate wireless router identifier. In another embodiment, the controller can be programmed to detect a network identification of an access point within a coverage area of a communication device (120), transmit a join message, and transmit authenticating information and security associations.
