  • Publication number: 20050227861
Abstract: This invention relates to single-component and multi-component catalytic systems using aryl titanates. Aryl titanate compounds are useful as catalysts and co-catalysts in single-component and multi-component catalytic systems (e.g., for the polymerization of macrocyclic oligoesters and the depolymerization of polyesters). Multi-component catalytic systems using aryl titanates allow increased versatility in applications such as liquid molding.

  • Patent number: 6925485
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a proxy cache preloader. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client intermediary having a proxy cache is used to provide multiple client computing devices with access to Internet data in the cache. When a device needs access to Internet data (i.e., a web page), a preloader/refresh mechanism is employed which uses a preloader algorithm. In one embodiment, the preloader algorithm checks to see if the current request is for an HTTP Uniform Resource Locator (URL). If not, the data is re-loaded into the proxy cache. If the current request is a request for HTTP, the preloader mechanism determines if optimization is enabled for the URL. If not, the data is re-loaded into the proxy cache. Otherwise, an information retrieval method (e.g., an HTTP GET) optimization algorithm is employed.

  • Publication number: 20050114202
Abstract: To assess the sufficiency of a plurality of machines for processing a number of items, machine availability information indicative of availability of the machines for processing the items, machine capacity information indicative of a capacity of each of the machines for processing the items, and machine preference information indicative of a preference of each of the machines for processing the items are obtained. A capacity constraint, such as an upper limit of items to be processed during a time interval, is determined based on the machine availability information, machine capacity information and machine preference information. At least some of the machines are allocated to process at least some of the items based on the machine availability information, machine capacity information and machine preference information, subject to the capacity constraint. The resulting rough-cut capacity plan may be used to balance available capacity against required capacity.

  • Publication number: 20050096770
Abstract: To schedule the release of jobs from a pool of pending jobs, machine information and information about items to be processed are used to determine available machine capacity. Available machine capacity is allocated to jobs subject to multiple job release constraints. Allocation may be performed first for any pending jobs which were partially released during a previous time interval, and then to new jobs in decreasing order of determined job rank. If different operative constraints dictate different numbers of units of a job to be released, the minimum number of units meeting each constraint may be released. After the number of units to be released has been determined for a job, machine information is updated to account for available capacity consumed by the release of the selected number of units of the job. Updated information may be used for job release scheduling of the next job.

  • Publication number: 20050065217
Abstract: Trimethoxyphenyl substituted indole ligands have been discovered which demonstrate impressive cytotoxicity as well as a remarkable ability to inhibit tubulin polymerization. Such compounds as well as related derivatives are excellent clinical candidates for the treatment of cancer in humans. In addition, certain of these ligands, as pro-drugs, may well prove to be tumor selective vascular targeting and destruction chemotherapeutic agents or to have anti-angiogenesis activity resulting in the selective prevention and/or destruction of tumor cell vasculature.

  • Publication number: 20050061215
Abstract: A safe intelligent container is composed of container body, door and some electronic safe and intelligent modules installed in the container. The safe intelligent modules are installed in the door, including door shift transducer monitoring the door shift movement and giving out signals. The door has an aperture corresponding to the antenna on the safe intelligent module, and the antennae runs across the antennae aperture and extends out of the container body. We usually use the movement of the door, like the relative movement of two doors or the door movement relatively to the doorcase, to monitor whether the door is unclosed. This effectively solves the existing problems in current safe intelligent containers and makes the structure simpler and installation and operation more convenient.

  • Publication number: 20040264062
Abstract: A magnetic recording head having a write pole formed in a point. The narrow width of the write pole can be manufactured using existing equipment, reduces the number of steps required to build the recording head, and results in a recording head that has other advantages. Forming the write pole in a point is done using two masking steps and mill processing. The writer and reader are positioned next to each other so that the second masking step which forms the point of the writer pole also defines the back edge of the stripe.

  • Patent number: 6835462
Abstract: This invention relates to a die-cuttable, biaxially stretch-oriented monolayer film comprising a polyethylene having a density of about 0.940 g/cm3 or less, a propylene polymer or copolymer, or mixtures thereof, wherein the tensile modulus of the film in the machine direction is greater than the tensile modulus in the cross direction, the tensile modulus of the film in the cross direction is about 150,000 psi or less, and the film is free of copolymers of ethylene with an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or ester. Die-cuttable, stretch-oriented multilayer films also are described comprising the above films as a base layer, and a thermoplastic polymer skin layer bonded to the upper surface of the base layer. The biaxially oriented monolayer and multilayer films are useful in particular in preparing adhesive containing labelstock for use in adhesive labels.

  • Patent number: 6832422
Abstract: An apparatus for assembling a post-CMP cleaning brush. The post-CMP cleaning brush is provided with a brush core and an outer brush, and the outer brush is provided with a hollow portion. The apparatus comprises a base, a fixed member, a sliding member, a plurality of posts, and an actuating device. The base holds the brush core and the outer brush, and the fixed member is disposed on the base. The sliding member is disposed on the base in a manner such that it is located at the opposite side of the fixed member relative to the outer brush disposed on the base. The posts, disposed on the sliding member, pass through the fixed member and the hollow portion of the outer brush so as to assist the brush core in passing through the hollow portion of the outer brush. The actuating device connects with the brush core so as to pass the brush core through the hollow portion of the outer brush and separate the posts, inserted into the outer brush, from the outer brush.
