  • Publication number: 20240103068
Abstract: An apparatus is described for burn-in and/or functional testing of microelectronic circuits of unsingulated wafers. A large number of power, ground, and signal connections can be made to a large number of contacts on a wafer. The apparatus has a cartridge that allows for fanning-in of electric paths. A distribution board has a plurality of interfaces that are strategically positioned to provide a dense configuration. The interfaces are connected through flexible attachments to an array of first connector modules. Each one of the first connector modules can be independently connected to a respective one of a plurality of second connector modules, thereby reducing stresses on a frame of the apparatus. Further features include for example a piston that allows for tight control of forces exerted by terminals onto contacts of a wafer.

  • Publication number: 20240095176
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to thread preemption in the context of memory-backed registers. In some embodiments, a memory hierarchy includes one or more cache levels and one or more memory circuits. Execution circuitry may operate on operands in architectural registers to execute instructions of threads, where data for the architectural registers is stored and backed by the memory hierarchy. Control circuitry may, in response to a context switch indication for a given thread: flush and invalidate a set of architectural register data from a first cache level and store memory page information (e.g., a page catalog base address) associated with the set of architectural register data.

  • Publication number: 20240070395
Abstract: A method executed by a computing device includes determining a set of identigens for each phrase word of a phrase to produce sets of identigens. A set of identigens of the sets of identigens represents one or more different meanings of a phrase word of the phrase. The method further includes obtaining sensor information for one or more phrase words of the phrase. The method further includes selecting an identigen of a first set of identigens based on the sensor information to produce a first identigen selection for the first set of identigens having a selected meaning of one or more different meanings of the first phrase word. The method further includes interpreting remaining sets of identigens of the sets of identigens to produce an entigen group so that the entigen group represents a most likely meaning interpretation of the phrase.

  • Publication number: 20240045808
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to dynamically allocating and mapping private memory for requesting circuitry. Disclosed circuitry may receive a private address and translate the private address to a virtual address (which an MMU may then translate to physical address to actually access a storage element). In some embodiments, private memory allocation circuitry is configured to generate page table information and map private memory pages for requests if the page table information is not already setup. In various embodiments, this may advantageously allow dynamic private memory allocation, e.g., to efficiently allocate memory for graphics shaders with different types of workloads. Disclosed caching techniques for page table information may improve performance relative to traditional techniques. Further, disclosed embodiments may facilitate memory consolidation across a device such as a graphics processor.

  • Publication number: 20240034686
Abstract: A two-step synthesis of SiC including initial exposure of carbon surfaces to Si vapor, followed by Si melt infiltration, is described herein. Interrupted differential thermal analysis (DTA) of amorphous C and Si powder mixtures and microstructure characterization are used to identify the stages of the reaction. Exposure to Si vapor yields a SiC layer with nanoscale porosity driven by the volume change associated with the reaction. This forms a continuous pore network that promotes subsequent melt access to the reaction front with the C. While the pores remain open, the vapor phase reaction proceeds at a nearly-constant rate and exhibits a strong temperature sensitivity, the latter due largely to the temperature sensitivity of the Si vapor pressure. The implications for enhancing the reactive melt infiltration process and fabrication of SiC matrices for ceramic composites are discussed.
