A versioning engine receives from an operative system (e.g. ERP system), root variants. These root variants may comprise existing actual data and corresponding underlying corporate meta data. Based upon user input, the versioning engine creates from these root variants, additional variants of the data and/or meta data. A new data variant may be based upon the original corporate meta data unchanged (e.g. for projecting existing product lines). A data variant may alternatively be based upon a new meta data variant reflecting changes to the original corporate meta data (e.g. for adopting an entirely new product line). By effectively depicting relationships between actual data and plan data, and between that data and its underlying meta data, versioning allows a user to visualize evolution of actual data into plan data for forecasting purposes.

In general, data characterizing a workflow of a process is received and a network representation of event-condition-action rules representing the workflow is generated. The workflow of the process may be modeled in accordance with a notation similar to the Business Process Modeling Notation. The network representation of event-condition-action rules may include a combination of source nodes representing events, operator nodes representing conditions, and action nodes representing transactions. Events of the source nodes may be represented types of objects of a type language, where a correlation engine is to execute an event-condition-action rule based on an existence of a combination of types of a rule.

The matrix may be formed of natural or synthetic compounds. The bioactive molecule may be modified to reduce its effective solubility in the matrix to retain it more effectively within the matrix, such as through the deglycosylation of members within the cystine knot growth factor superfamily and particularly within the TGF? superfamily. The matrix may be modified to include sites with binding affinity for different bioactive molecules, for example, for heparin binding.
