  • Publication number: 20090325667
Abstract: A reel-type secondary game is played simultaneously with a conventional reel-type main game on a gaming machine. The secondary game is initiated only after the player meets certain criteria, such as betting additional credits. Once the secondary game is initiated, one or more special symbols are added to the leftmost reel and the rightmost reel used in the main game, but not the reels in-between. The added special symbols do not affect the symbols used in the main game. All the reels containing the symbols used in the main game and the one or more special symbols are rotated and randomly stopped. Awards are granted for winning symbol combinations obtained in the main game. If the special symbols align with a certain stop position, a special bonus game is played or the player wins a progressive jackpot.

  • Publication number: 20090164985
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for compiling workflows into instructions for a state correlation engine. In general, data characterizing a workflow of a process is received and a network representation of event-condition-action rules representing the workflow is generated. The workflow of the process may be modeled in accordance with a notation similar to the Business Process Modeling Notation. The network representation of event-condition-action rules may include a combination of source nodes representing events, operator nodes representing conditions, and action nodes representing transactions. Events of the source nodes may be represented types of objects of a type language, where a correlation engine is to execute an event-condition-action rule based on an existence of a combination of types of a rule.

  • Publication number: 20090164548
Abstract: Methods and systems consistent with the invention manage messages transported between a first computer system and a second computer system. For instance, in one embodiment, According to another exemplary embodiment, a method obtains a business object identifier that identifies a business object associated with a first message to be transported over a network from the first computer system to the second computer system. The method may then generate a transport identifier associated with the transported message. The method may then route the first message the second computer system, such that the routing generates a second message that is transported to the second computer system. The method then obtains the second message transported to the second computer system. Finally, the method creates a data structure in memory including the transport identifier, the business object identifier, and the second message.

  • Publication number: 20090112887
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for mapping deep structured data structures. Statements defining a mapping of source elements formatted in accordance with a first hierarchical structure to a target formatted in accordance with a second hierarchical structure are received. The first and second hierarchical structures may be different. A mapping of the source elements to the target in accordance with the statements may be performed, where the statement may be defined in accordance with a mapping language. The mapping language may define that a single statement may represent an iterative approach to mapping elements from the source to the target. The mapping language may support selection of source elements using a format that allows for navigation through a hierarchy of the source. The mapping language may also support nested statements which may allow for nested iterations in which to perform mappings.

  • Publication number: 20090113380
Abstract: A plurality of constraints are identified for a model of a software deployment in an integrated development environment. Each of the constraints are associated with one of a plurality of analysis levels. It is determined for each analysis level whether the corresponding associated constraints are met so that an identification indicating the same may be provided. Related techniques, apparatus, systems, and articles are described.

  • Publication number: 20080134203
Abstract: A message is buffered and processing statistics are associated with the message, including characterizations of whether a process instance is to process the message, a number of process instances handling the message, and a number of process instances that have processed the message. A process instance may be generated to process content of the message depending on the message. The message may be dequeued based on the processing statistics. For example, if the processing statistics indicate that no process instances are handling the message and no process instance is to process content of the message. Also, if the content of the message is to be processed by a threshold number of process instances, the message is only dequeued if the processing statistics indicate that the threshold number of process instances have processed the content of the message.

  • Patent number: 7378395
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel mutants of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) useful as inhibitors of heterotopic ossification. Specifically, the present invention related to novel mutants containing only the entire region involved in the formation of finger 2 including the wrist epitope of a BMP with a specific cysteine residue or specific cysteine residues replaced by a different amino acid. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing these mutants and to methods for using the mutants and pharmaceutical compositions in therapy.

  • Publication number: 20080046862
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that enable synchronization and integration between business objects and user tasks. In some embodiments, the present invention allows for tight integration between business objects and tasks related to those objects. Tasks may be stored in a task “pool,” allowing multiple users to access some tasks. In Users may perform additional operations such as forwarding tasks or requesting clarification; task tracking; and technical monitoring. A task framework is provided that monitors business objects and creates, modifies, and completes tasks when appropriate changes are made to business objects.

  • Publication number: 20070202178
Abstract: Bioactive molecules are entrapped within a matrix for the controlled delivery of these compounds for therapeutic healing applications. The matrix may be formed of natural or synthetic compounds. The primary method of entrapment of the bioactive molecule is through precipitation of the bioactive molecule during gelation of the matrix, either in vitro or in vivo. The bioactive molecule may be modified to reduce its effective solubility in the matrix to retain it more effectively within the matrix, such as through the deglycosylation of members within the cystine knot growth factor superfamily and particularly within the TGF? superfamily. The matrix may be modified to include sites with binding affinity for different bioactive molecules, for example, for heparin binding.
