  • Patent number: 7026564
Abstract: A rocker switch assembly includes a switch body, a mounting strap, a frame, and a paddle for actuating the switch between an on and an off position. The paddle has a uni-convex cylindrical exterior surface. The rocker switch assembly further includes a faceplate in the form of a frame having an opening. The exterior front surface of the faceplate has a uni-convex cylindrical surface profile. In an assembled condition, the paddle substantially occupies the faceplate opening. Due to the selected convex shapes of the paddle and faceplate, a portion of the paddle front surface is always substantially flush with a portion of the faceplate surface and at no time does any part of the paddle surface protrude past the faceplate front surface.

  • Patent number: 7010331
Abstract: According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a mobile telephone handset construction, which is adapted to be attached removably in an inverted manner to a support element, such as a strap, loop or ring attached to a back-pack or other article of wearing apparel, or any other suitable support element used for supporting the handset construction. The construction of an embodiment of the invention can be quickly retrieved and responded to in a convenient manner when a call is being received. The construction includes a display mounted at a top front face portion of a housing to present information to the user when the display is viewed in a position adapted to be read by the user. A carabiner latch is connected to the housing for attaching to the support element to suspend the construction therefrom in an inverted manner for storage purposes.

  • Publication number: 20060000006
Abstract: A protective ear appliance including two ear protectors with a band and a slidable coupling between the band and the ear protectors. The band encircles a portion of a wearer's head, has a curved shape with two ends and inner and outer curved surfaces. There is a slidable coupling between each of the ear protectors and the band so that each ear protector can slide independently with respect to the band to adjust the distance between the two ear protectors along the band so that the ear protectors can seat in the wearer's ears. The band can be formed with a central band hingedly coupled to the two end band portions. The ear protectors are coupled to the end band portions and slide relative to the end band portions. The protective ear appliance is designed to be worn with the central band around the back of the wearer's head.
