Abstract: An above-ground pool is made up of a plurality of posts, wherein each post is a blow-molded unit having a base portion and a top portion with a coping seat. A plurality of coping members also blow-molded are each telescopically received one end to the other at the coping seat of the top of each post, and a one-piece fastener engages the overlapping telescopic ends of the coping members to the top of the post. A bracket is provided at the base of the post, the bracket having a rail for receiving track segments wherein an elongated flexible metal wall is inserted. The top of the flexible wall is retained by the coping member against the post.

Abstract: A computer case having at least one 31/2" drive housing which can be removably mounted within the case. Each 31/2" drive housing has one or more (typically, two) channels. A 31/2" drive is slidably insertable within each channel. A plurality (normally, as many as four) 31/2 drive housings are removably mountable at different locations within the case via quick release connectors provided at different locations within the case. A "U" shaped mounting bracket captures each 31/2" drive. The bracket has two opposed legs, with one or more inwardly projecting pins on each leg. The pins slide into apertures located in the opposed sides of industry standard 31/2" drives. A one-piece backplane with quick release connectors is easily removed and replaced by adjacent a cutout provided in an outer wall of the case. A series of cutouts are provided in the backplane. Each cutout is positioned to align with a connector on a motherboard mounted in the case, when the backplane is in place adjacent the case outer wall cutout.

Abstract: A sport shoe having an upper, a sole having at least an outer sole having a mobile portion at least at the heel portion of the sole which is pivotable about a lateral axis forward of the heel portion. A midsole insert member is insertable between the mobile portion and the upper. The mobile portion includes upper engaging projections cooperating with the upper to prevent the midsole insert from moving laterally relative to the upper when the midsole insert member is introduced between the mobile portion and the upper.

Abstract: A weighing scale comprising a housing having an upper platform for receiving a load, and a base; a lever assembly comprising a plurality of levers, each of which is in operative contact with the upper platform and supported by a post element mounted on the base. A cantilever beam is mounted on the base and positioned between the lever assembly and the base. A weight-transmitting pin is provided for supporting the lever assembly and acting on the cantilever beam for transmitting the load from the intermediate cover to the cantilever beam through the lever assembly. A strain gauge element is fixed on the cantilever beam for converting a strain developed therein into an electrical signal.

Abstract: A coffee brewer of the type having an outer fixed cylindrical tube and a fixed piston within the tube. A sliding cylinder slides in sealing contact between the outer cylinder and the piston. The sliding cylinder has a filter at the top thereof. A frame mounts the piston head and the outer cylindrical tube, and motor means are mounted on the frame with a pair of rotors rotatably mounted on the frame, one on either side of the outer cylindrical tube about a lateral axis at right angles to the axial axis of the outer and sliding cylindrical tubes. Each rotor includes an arcuate segment with gear teeth on the periphery thereof. Gear means connect the motor to the rotors for rotating the rotors, and a cam connector connects the sliding cylinder to the rotors for sliding movement of the sliding cylindrical tube during the brewing cycle.

Abstract: A brewer for providing a single cup of coffee which comprises an outer cylindrical tubular member having an open top and a platform formed on the top. A slidable second cylindrical tubular member reciprocates within the first tubular member along the axis thereof and is provided with a gasket at the top thereof in sealing contact with the inner surface of the first tubular member. A permanent filter is provided at the top of the second cylindrical tubular member. A fixed piston head is located within the second cylindrical tubular member and is fixed relative to the first tubular member. A wiper is provided on the top platform of the first tubular member such that when the filter is in its uppermost position, the wiper can be activated to clean the coffee grounds from the filter. A pour spout is provided in the second cylindrical member which communicates with the fluid once the pour spout is above the level of the piston head.

Abstract: A rivetless door latch having a housing with a latch bolt having a pair of side plates and pivot pins seated in pivot sockets in the top of the housing and a lever with a dog leg having pivot pins seated in the pivot sockets in the base of the housing. The side plates of the latch bolt have a camming recess adapted to be engaged by camming projections on the dog leg of the lever. A leaf spring is anchored in the base of the housing and urges against the dog leg in a counterclockwise direction.

Abstract: A binding for a snowboard has a base, side members extending upwardly and rearwardly from the sides of the base, towards the back of the base, with an arcuate member joining the rear ends of the side members. Fastening means on one side member and on one side edge of the board at the front provide for attachment of one end of each of two straps. Fastening means on the other side member and on the other side edge serve for attachment of a locking bar which in turn connects the other end of each strap to the side member and base. Attachment means are provided in the base for attachment to a snowboard. A snowboard for use in conjunction with the binding has a forward attachment position which provides for attachment of a binding inclined in either direction as desired, that is forward and to the right or forward and to the left, as desired, at about 45.degree.. A rear attachment position provides for attachment of the binding transverse of the board.

Abstract: A utility knife comprises a hollow casing formed by a pair of elongated members pivotally mounted one to the other at one end of the casing. A blade passage is provided at another end of the casing. The elongated members are adapted for movement in substantially parallel planes between aligned closed functional and open diverging positions. The casing is provided with a mechanism adapted to carry and selectively position a blade. The utility knife further comprises a locking member pivotally mounted to one of the elongated members and adapted in a closed position thereof to secure the elongated members in their aligned closed position.

Abstract: A paint roller assembly according to the present invention includes a support frame and a roller. The roller has a mounting passage which opens inwardly from one end thereof to a socket located at the other end thereof and the frame has an elongated shaft proportioned to fit within the mounting passage and formed with a plug which is adapted to be seated in the socket to retain the roller on the frame for rotation about the shaft portion of the frame.
