Abstract: A battery cover mechanism comprises a battery cover (10), a housing (20) and a hinge mechanism (30). The battery cover has an installing side (101) and a movable side (102) opposite to the installing side. The housing includes a first surface (201) and a second surface (202) that is opposite to the first surface, and the housing defining a receiving chamber (21) in the first surface. The hinge mechanism rotatably mounts the installing side to the housing, and the cover is rotatable to cover or uncover the receiving chamber.

Abstract: A hinge assembly (200) includes a connecting member (10), two cams (30), two shafts (20), two elastic elements (40) and two barrels (50). The connecting member includes a first sleeve (12), a second sleeve (14) and a connecting sleeve (16) connected between. The first sleeve and the second sleeve each have respective partition boards (104, 144) formed therein. Each partition board includes a plurality of protrusions extending therefrom with a plurality of latching grooves formed between the protrusions. Each cam includes at least one latching block (32) and defines an axial hole (36). Each shaft has a shaft portion (24), and the shaft portion is configured for passing through the axial hole of each cam. Each elastic element provides an elastic force for each cam so as to hold the cam against the protrusions.

Abstract: A generic model structure captures basic characteristics in BIS-based patients' responses to anesthesia and surgical stimulation, the model being used in combination with the insight of an anesthesiologist. The model structure represents the patient response with a time delay, a time constant for response speed, and a nonlinear function for drug sensitivity. Clinical data confirms the model structure and is used to establish parameters and function forms for individual patients. A feedback and predictive control strategy for anesthesia drug infusion is then introduced on the basis of the patient model. Feedback control alone cannot avoid large fluctuations in BIS values when significant surgical stimulation is imposed, as a result of time delays in a patient's response to drug infusion. Predictive control attenuates fluctuations of BIS levels from surgical stimulation.
