    Abstract: A portable power charger is provided for charging an electronic device from a rechargeable battery internally disposed within the charger. An attachment system is also provided for connecting the electronic device to the portable charger and maintaining the connection during charging, whether by wireless means or by direct charging connection. The attachment system can also ensure that respective wireless transmission components in the portable charger and the electronic device, where available, are properly aligned for optimal and efficient wireless charging. The alignment system can comprise an arrangement of magnets on each of the portable charger and the electronic device, whereby said magnets are geometrically arrangement is spaced apart relationship to one another. The alignment system may alternatively comprise a sticky pads, suction cups or hook-and-loop fasteners to physical attach the electronic device to the portable charger.

    Abstract: A car charger interface, adapted for connection with a car charger socket, is connected to an electronic device or portable charger unit and movable between an extended condition for use and a retracted condition for storage. The interface has a generally flat shape when not in use and can be unfolded to a shape adapted for complementary connection with the car charger socket for use. The interface comprises a first portion and a second portion movable relative to one another between folded and unfolded conditions. The second portion may comprise wings pivotally connected along the first portion for pivoting to an unfolded position projecting from the first portion to form a generally X-shaped adapter body. Alternately, the second portion may be positioned at the longitudinal end of the first portion and connected thereto via a pivot point at the central longitudinal axis thereof for pivotal movement.

To accommodate multiple electronic devices, a portable charger unit is combined with multiple power output connection interfaces for connecting to more than one electronic device, as necessary, including connector cables attached to the charger housing or power connection ports. The charger also includes at least one power input connection interface for recharging the internal battery from an external power source, including an AC wall plug interface and a DC car charger interface, each connected to the charger housing and movable between a retracted, storage position and an extended use position. The power output connector cables can also be stored within storage cavities formed in the charger housing when not in use and extended therefrom for connection with electronic devices in need of recharging. The power connection ports can act as power inputs, power outputs, or both.

The ignition power outlet comprises a positive power socket, a negative power socket, a positive sensing socket and a negative sensing socket. The sensing sockets are electrically isolated from the power sockets, and the microcontroller senses voltage across the sensing sockets and is configured to interrupt the operative electrical connection of the jump start circuit to the ignition power outlet until proper voltage is sensed across the sensing sockets.

The magnetic arrays on each of the portable charger and the electronic device are complementary to ensure the proper positioning of one relative to the other. The electronic device may alternatively use an attachment ship secured thereto with a magnet array complementing the arrangement on the portable charger, or a protective case with a built in magnetic arrangement at a predetermined location and orientation.

The portable charger kit comprises a wallet, a charger unit, and one or more interchangeable charging cables, each having a first end connection interface and a second end connection interface. A power connection port is provided in the charger unit in operative communication with the internal battery. The connection port may be disposed within the first cavity for engagement with the first connection interface of the charging cable. The second end of the charging cable may be removed from its storage cavity and flexed out and away from the charger housing for engagement with a portable electronic device or an external power source while the first end remains in engagement with the power connection port.
