  • Publication number: 20120046096
Abstract: A system and method allowing wager(s) to be placed over a wireless network using a remote device by authenticating an established user account, and validating the location of the player using network centric data. The player utilizes the remote device, which may be a cell phone or remote computing device, connected securely to a wagering system over a wireless network (e.g., 3G). Depending on the type of game, player location is determined using A-GPS and/or control plane technology utilizing carrier network information. Wagers may be placed using verbal instructions or keypad entries which communicate with a voice recognition system, dedicated software application, live operator and/or web browser based application. Regardless of the wager placement methodology, the remote device is linked to a wager server and location verification is specific to the subject remote device connected thereto. Other methods of verifying location are utilized as safeguards against spoofing and remote operation.

  • Publication number: 20110314905
Abstract: A system for providing a catalyst to a first flow of gas. The first flow of gas has an operating pressure for transporting the first flow of gas to a provided combustion chamber. The operating pressure established by a compressor of a provided turbocharger. The system includes a pump and an atomizer. The pump receives a portion of the first flow of gas. The atomizer receives a solution comprising the catalyst and provides a vapor comprising the catalyst. The pump provides the portion of the first flow of gas at a second pressure greater than the operating pressure. The portion of the first flow of gas at the second pressure carries the vapor out of the system and into the first flow of gas for delivery to the combustion chamber.

  • Publication number: 20110313625
Abstract: A coupler (24) for coupling an accessory (28) to an excavator arm (12) of an excavator (10), the coupler comprising a first jaw (30) that points in a generally longitudinal direction relative to the frame of the coupler (24), the jaw (30) being for receiving a first attachment pin of an accessory (28) and having a first sensor (40) for detecting the presence of an attachment pin therein, the coupler (24) further having a second jaw (32), or a latch (34), longitudinally spaced from the first jaw (30), and being for receiving a second attachment pin of the accessory (28), and having a second sensor (42) for detecting the presence of an attachment pin therein. The sensors (40, 42) transmit or send signals to a receiver (46, 48) for notifying the driver of the coupling status of the coupler (24) with respect to the accessory (28).

  • Publication number: 20110254219
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing documents are provided. The apparatus includes a feeder for receiving a packet of a plurality of documents and separating the documents to serially feed the documents to a scanner. A retard adjacent the feeder is operable in first and second positions. In the first position the retard forms a nip with the feeder so that the retard is operable to impede the progress of one or more documents in the packet while the feeder feeds one of the documents in the packet. In the second position, the retard is spaced apart from the feeder to form a gap between the feeder and the retard. The system further includes a sensor for detecting a characteristic of the documents in a packet indicative of whether the number of documents in the packet exceeds a predetermined threshold. A drive mechanism automatically drives the retard pad between the first and second positions in response to the detected characteristic.

  • Patent number: 8033167
Abstract: A system for providing a catalyst to a first flow of gas. The first flow of gas has an operating pressure. A pipe carries the first flow of gas from a compressor of a turbocharger to a combustion chamber. The operating pressure of the first flow of gas varies in accordance with an operation of the compressor. The system includes an enclosure, a pump, and an atomizer. The enclosure receives a portion of the first flow of gas at the operating pressure. The pump is positioned in the enclosure. The pump receives from within the enclosure the portion of the first flow of gas. The pump provides the portion of the first flow of gas at a second pressure. Any gas that exits the enclosure is provided by the pump at the second pressure. The atomizer receives a solution having the catalyst and provides a vapor having the catalyst. The portion of the first flow of gas at the second pressure carries the vapor out of the system and into the first flow of gas for delivery to the combustion chamber.

  • Publication number: 20110232070
Abstract: Couplers for attaching an accessory to an excavator arm of an excavator. Couplers having a first side for attaching the coupler to the excavator arm and a second side onto which the accessory will be coupled. The coupler includes a latch for selectively securing and releasing an attachment pin of the accessory in a jaw, groove, hook or slot in the second side of the coupler. The coupler is fully controllable from within the cab of the excavator and it allows improved security in the securement of the accessory to the coupler, i.e. preventing accidental decouplings, but while still allowing intentional decoupling operations to be carried out without undue burden.

  • Publication number: 20110229257
Abstract: A non-removable safety pin (20) for an excavator coupler for securing a latching hook thereof. The safety pin (20) comprises a head (26), a shaft (24), a distal end (22) and a longitudinal axis starting at the head (26), extending along the shaft (24) and terminating at the distal end (22), wherein either or both of the shaft (24) and the distal end (22) are keyed so as to have an element thereon that extends relative to a side of the shaft. The element prevents removal of the safety pin from a hole (36) in which the safety pin (20) is inserted.

  • Publication number: 20110191632
Abstract: A SFP checking device (SFP Check) connects to a SFP transceiver and a PC or laptop via a USB cable. The SFP Check uses the default web browser of the PC, without an internet connection, to display details of the SFP transceiver such as wavelength, description, range, manufacturer, among other information, in accordance with program code provided to the PC via the SFP Check. All of the information a technician in the field needs to determine which SFP transceiver is the right one for a selected application and optical link is available from the SFP Check. The SFP Check and SFP transceiver both receive power via the USB cable connection to the PC. The SFP Check appears to the PC as a memory stick. A method is provided for determining the drive letter associated with the SFP Check and the program coder or file(s) it provides to the PC.
