  • Patent number: 5461832
Abstract: The invention is a transportable foldable building for being mounted on a supporting foundation, and method of erecting a transportable foldable building. The building includes a central roof section, first and second outer roof sections, and first and second side walls. The central roof section is supported in vertically spaced relation above the foundation. The first and second outer roof sections are pivotally attached to opposing edges of the central roof section, and extending downwardly from the central roof section during transport of the building to reduce the width of the building. The first side wall is pivotally attached to the first outer roof section for being folded in overlying relation to the first outer roof section during transport of the building. The second side wall is pivotally attached to the second outer roof section for being folded in overlying relation to the second outer roof section during transport of the building.

  • Patent number: 5235712
Abstract: An invalid patient lifting and turning apparatus which includes an open framework for being positioned above a bed, an elevator supported by the open framework and a patient support straps for being positioned on a mattress of the bed underneath the patient and remaining underneath the patient at all times. The straps are removable and replaceable for extending laterally from side-to-side along the length of the patient for supporting the patient's head, trunk and legs. Connecting straps are provided for connecting the patient support straps and the elevator thereby permitting the patient support straps to lift the patient above the mattress surface for cleaning and bed-linen changing. A reservoir is provided for being positioned on the mattress under the patient while the patient is suspended above the mattress so that the patient can be bathed or showered in the bed.

  • Patent number: 5129346
Abstract: A rudder sleeve for enlarging the surface area of a boat rudder includes first and second stainless steel plates having four side edges defining first and second opposed major hydrodynamic surfaces. The rudder sleeve has a substantially rectilinear periphery. The first and second plates are secured together around the periphery of three of the four side edges by welding to define a narrow pocket between the first and second plates enclosed on three side edges. An open side edge is provided for placing the boat rudder into the pocket. Fastening bolts are provided for being extended through the first and second plates and the boat rudder from side-to-side to fasten the rudder sleeve to the boat rudder.

  • Patent number: 5070803
Abstract: A trolling speed reduction apparatus for slowing the trolling speed of boats having an inboard engine and a steerable rudder mounted under the stern of the boat aft of a propeller driven by the inboard engine. The rudder has first and second opposed major sides and has first and second deflector plates carried on opposite sides of the rudder. The deflector plates are moveable between a first, closed position wherein the first and second deflector plates reside closely adjacent to an substantially along the respective first and second major sides of the rudder and are substantially inoperative and a second, open position wherein the first and second deflector plates extend outwardly away from the opposed sides of the rudder into the wash from the propeller and are operative to create speed reducing drag to slow the forward movement of the boat.

  • Patent number: 4856434
Abstract: A shipping, storing and displaying table that is collapsible for return and which is inexpensive for discard if desired. The table consists of a plurality of vertically spaced shelves supported by their edges held between lips of supports or posts at their midsections. The posts have feet extending below the lower shelf or pallet base to provide forklift access from all four sides. The posts and shelves are held together by connecting bands of suitable fasteners such as nails or screws, all of which are readily removable for collapsing the table.

  • Patent number: 4534073
Abstract: A toilet seat lifting apparatus (10) mounted on a commode bowl (52) of conventional design and shown to connect with a water reservoir (53). However, the lifting apparatus is designed to be mounted on various types of toilets such as those having a pressurized water conduits connected directly with the bowl. The apparatus is designed to be mounted contiguous (11) with the surface supporting the toilet seat (46) thereby conveniently positioning a foot pedal (16) at some selected height above the floor and eliminating the need to stablize the lifting apparatus by contact with the floor. The lifting apparatus features a system of levers (10) mechanically operated by the foot action of the user. The lifting motion produced by the leverage system is compensated by a tension spring (44) incorporated into the structure of the lifting apparatus (10). The tension spring additionally functions to dampen the return of the toilet seat (46) to the resting position (54).

  • Patent number: 4078258
Abstract: A system for arranging the memory in an electronic dynamic shift register for performing multiple operations during a memory revolution. Control codes, such as separator and record flags, are input into the shift register memory for defining an input and a revision zone. Upon detecting these control codes during a memory revolution, data codes are input into the input and revision zones and deleted from the revision zone. Another control code, such as a page end code, input into the revision zone defines an output zone. During an output operation data codes in the output zone are output from the record flag through the page end code.
