  • Publication number: 20090304918
Abstract: A coating apparatus (10) includes a chamber (12) defining a cavity (16), a diffuser (20), a vacuum valve (26), a burst valve (28), and a vacuum pump (30). In use, the chamber (12) is heated before a batch of lenses (46) to be coated are placed within the cavity (16) together with a tablet (42) impregnated with a coating substance. Air is then pumped from the cavity (16) until the pressure has been lowered to between 1×10-3 to 1×10-1 mbar (absolute pressure). The source tablet (42) is then heated by heater (38) to release a coating substance in vapour form. The burst valve (28) is then opened intermittently to allow small bursts of air to flow into the cavity (16). The diffuser (20) imparts swirling movement to the air burst as it enters the cavity (16), so that the air swirls around within the cavity thereby causing the vapour of the coating substance to be evenly distributed within the cavity and condense evenly on the lenses (46).

  • Publication number: 20090254612
Abstract: A method is presented for a user to receive an alarm about a pending calendar event, or an overdue to-do, from an electronic calendar system that serves the user. The user accesses a network that connects the user terminal to a calendar system. The user sends a subscribe request for alarms, and then the user receives a notification in response to the subscribe request, to notify the user about at least one alarm that was already triggered before the user accessed the network. This way, the user will obtain alarms that were triggered while the user was inaccessible, instead of missing the alarms altogether. This system includes a user terminal for accessing the network and sending a subscribe request signal, as well as a calendaring unit that is responsive to the subscribe request signal, and is for providing to the user terminal a notification signal indicating alarms that were already triggered before the network was accessed by the user terminal.

  • Patent number: 7317695
Abstract: An apparatus and method initiates a conference call in a telecommunication system. A call set up message is sent by a user's equipment, a message header indicating the equipment's own public identity as the call recipient and a tag indicating that the user equipment only accepts a conference call server as the recipient of the message. A network element configured to process messages from the user equipment receives the message and redirects the message to a conference call server on the basis of the header fields of the message. The conference call server detects that the message is a conference call set up message on the basis of the header fields of the message, and establishes a conference call.

  • Publication number: 20050083974
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and network device for processing a routing information in a packet data network. The routing information is extracted from a received message at a border between a first network and a second network, and at least one invalid entry is added to first-network entries of the routing information. The first-network entries relate to a routing path of the message within the first network. The at least one invalid entry and the first-network entries are encrypted by using an own token at least for each of the first-network entries. As an alternative, a tokenized second-network entry extracted from said routing information and relating to the routing path of the message within the second network is decrypted, and its content is reversed. In both cases, the routing information is replaced by the processed routing information and the message is forwarded to the second network.
