  • Patent number: 4001730
Abstract: A directional coupler for coaxial cable, or the like, wherein the portions of the lines to be coupled are positioned to run next to each other, thereby defining a gap between them that is in a plane that extends generally parallel to the planes of the lines connected. For adjusting coupling attenuation, the gap width is changed by moving the overlying sections of the lines in a direction perpendicular to the axes of the connection lines.

    Filed: July 16, 1975
Date of Patent: January 4, 1977
    Inventor: Georg Spinner
  • Patent number: 3985418
Abstract: A tubular clamping cone with axial split is placed on a coaxial cable and is engaged by a clamping annulus with conical inner surface, the latter element being slidably disposed in a sleeve and urged by springs onto the clamping cone. A socket element is threaded into the sleeve and has an O-ring to urge the cone towards the annulus when the socket element is threaded into the sleeve and makes contact with the outer conductor of the cable.

  • Patent number: 3976352
Abstract: A sealed coaxial cable plug type connection in which the cavity between the inner and outer conductors of each cable connected is filled in the vicinity of the plug contacts with dielectric material; the shaping and resiliency of the dielectric material properly seals the connection; additional means to seal and hold the connection together.

  • Patent number: 3963320
Abstract: The disclosure concerns a cable connector for solid-insulation coaxial cables, the outer conductor of which consisting of a thin copper layer that is carried by a dielectric layer and is surrounded externally by a protective sheath of insulating material and a radial contact is established between the part of the outer conductor that is free from the protective sheath and a rigid contact sleeve surrounding said outer conductor, the contact being via a spring contact ring which at the end face is clamped at one edge in a sleeve surrounding the cable in such a manner that said ring is lifted from the outer conductor and pressed by an internally conically extending sleeve radially onto the outer conductor. The sleeve carrying the spring contact ring is constructed as slit conical clamping sleeve which acts on the plastic outer sheath radially by means of a gripping sleeve carrying an inner cone.

  • Patent number: 3936116
Abstract: The disclosure concerns a coaxial h-f multiple rotary connection, in particular for rotating antennas of radar equipment, comprising galvanic rotary contacts. In the rotary coupling of the hollow inner conductors of an outer coaxial system the rotary coupling of an inner coaxial system forming for said outer system only a reactance is disposed and the outer conductors of the inner coaxial system led radially out of the outer coaxial system are connected to the outer conductors of the outer coaxial system. This reactance can be compensated by suitable dimensioning, ensuring reflexion-free passage of the outer line.
