Abstract: A virtual currency system keeps track of virtual credits, which can be owned, transferred, purchased, and sold by participants in a virtual economy. Each virtual credit has an internal value and an external value, which define, respectively, the exchange rates for creating and redeeming the virtual credits. Upon creation of new virtual credits, the internal value for those credits is the rate for which real currency was paid per credit. The external value sets the rate at which the virtual credits can be redeemed for real currency. Each virtual credit may further have a face value, which is an apparent value of the virtual credit within the virtual economy, giving users a baseline impression for valuing the virtual currency. These features of the virtual currency enable a number of useful actions within the virtual economy, including currency seeding, couponing, and chargebacks.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for facilitating payment transactions in multiple currencies between participants is provided. In one embodiment, an option is provided to a user to select a currency in which to make a payment. An indication of the selected currency in which to make the payment is received. A determination is made as to whether the selected currency is a primary currency of an account of the user. Based on the selected currency being different from the primary currency of the account of the user, the payment is converted to the selected currency.

The model includes a global conduct score model, a weighting model, an AI based model, and an associated network based model.

In one embodiment, a system for facilitating a financial transaction over a network comprises a communication interface; and a payment provider system configured to receive via the communication interface a passphrase account identifier from a merchant system, match the passphrase account identifier to a corresponding funding instrument number of a corresponding funding instrument, communicated the corresponding funding instrument number to an issuer system, receive from the issuer system a notification indication of one of acceptance of the funding instrument or decline of the funding instrument, and communicate back to the merchant system the notification indication.

In one embodiment, a set of balances in different currencies within a user account of a user is presented. An indication from the user to transfer funds between two balances of the set of balances in the user account is received. A current exchange rate for conversion between currencies of the two balances is provided. An approval from the user to perform the transfer of funds between the two balances is received. In response, the transfer of funds between the two balances is performed.

Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) front-end configured to share transmissions and receptions of Bluetooth signals and WLAN signals. In an exemplary embodiment, the RF front-end comprises a first path coupled between an antenna and a transceiver dedicated to transmissions of the WLAN signals; a second path coupled between the antenna and the transceiver dedicated to simultaneous receptions of the Bluetooth signals and the WLAN signals; and a third path coupled between the antenna and the transceiver. Abstract: 1) The carving vise holds an article to be carved at optimal positions for ease of carving. Its design reduces carvers fatigue; damage to the carving article while being held; and the likelihood of carving injuries. It also greatly improves the carvers carving efficiency. 2) Significant design features are the reduction in the amount of repositioning release mechanisms to reposition the craving article. The design is unique in that the carving article can be moved in three ways. Rotated 360 degrees around the head and tail stock axis, 2) rotated 90 degrees relative to the work bench to which it is mounted, 3) slides in and out relative to the mounting point. The head and tail stock will move independently and also can be repositioned while securely holding a carving article by moving the square tube assembly. The locking mechanism for rotational movement and the brake assembly for locking the vise in vertical positions are new simplistic designs that securely lock in all positions.

Abstract: A solid state lighting driver and system having a total harmonic distortion (“THDi”) bypass circuit is disclosed. The solid state driver energizes a solid state lamp having a first lighting segment serially connected to a second lighting segment. The THDi bypass circuit bypasses a first lighting segment and energizes a second lighting segment of LEDs when the driving voltage is low. As a result, the solid state lamp will emit light over a larger portion of the power cycle and will decrease the THDi.

Abstract: Means for connecting a local electrical power source to the wiring of a building wiring. A branch circuit monitor module can be installed as part of a branch circuit that includes a circuit breaker and a power receptacle and having safe operating ranges for current and voltage carried by the branch circuit. The branch circuit monitor module can measure data representative of one or more of voltage, current, and current flow direction in the branch circuit between the circuit breaker and the power receptacle and outputs the data. A communications and control module can receive the data and in response presents control commands to a local power source, the control commands causing the local power source to modify its power output such that the branch circuit stays within the safe operating ranges.
