Abstract: A cast-cutter for use in removing a cast from a patient comprises a body (20), cutting means (18, 148, 230) supported by the body (20), and a protection member (16, 204, 206, 236, 244) supported by the body (20) and adapted to be positioned between the cutting means (18, 148, 230) and the patient, to protect the skin of the patient. In one disclosed embodiment the cutting means cuts a cast by a shearing action. In another disclosed embodiment the cutting means cuts a cast by an abrading action.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for a split detent tactile cueing control system comprising an inceptor, a position sensor, vehicle sensors, and a flight control computer. The inceptor can be moved into different positions measured by a position sensor. The vehicle sensors generate signals in response to detecting parameters about a vehicle during a flight. The flight control computer is coupled to the inceptor and the vehicle sensors. The flight control computer is capable of generating actuation signals used to generate tactile cues to generate a flight path hold detent and an altitude hold detent within the plurality of positions using a force feel profile and the parameters. An extension of a latch force from the flight path hold detent to the altitude hold detent is present during changes in vehicle direction. Series actuator compensation allows increased split detent separation with insignificant command overshoot.

Abstract: The present invention provides systems, methods, and computer program products for performing validation and clearance at a transaction item level for transaction received in a batch format. Each transaction of the batch is stored separately in a storage system, such as a logical database. Typically, image data and electronic data for a transaction are stored separately in the storage system and may be linked to each other. Each transaction is separately accessible and/or updateable. Each transaction stored in the storage system is separately analyzed to validate that the transaction is at least balanced. Transactions that determined to be balanced are cleared irrespective of a balance status associated with other transactions associated with the batch of transactions, such that transactions are individually cleared as opposed to being cleared in a batch format.

Abstract: A duplicate detection system is provided for analyzing and processing documents received at one or more capture sites. A physical document may be electronically captured at a capture site and subsequently transmitted to a regional or central processing system. The regional or central processing system may receive capture documents from multiple capture sites. The processing system may analyze the captured documents to identify and flag false-positives prior to performing duplicate detection. Duplicate detection may be performed in accordance with predefined rules associated with false-positive flags. Once duplicate detection is complete, suspected duplicates may undergo manual review while non-duplicates are released for posting or dispatching.

Abstract: A method and system for enhanced check image privacy are disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention provide a way to automatically link the results from quality assurance software to a check image archive to appropriately mark images as unretrievable by customers. Images are interrogated with a data matching algorithm to determine whether a confidence score expressing a likelihood that the image matches associated, stored magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) data is below a pre-set threshold. The image can be then automatically designated in the financial document archive. The image can be displayed to an operator for analysis when the confidence score is above the pre-set threshold and below a pre-set limit, or in cases where the confidence score cannot be determined by the data matching algorithm.

Thus providing for each layer to be exposed. The first layer or first material is preferably polyurethane having a first durometer, known as a hard durometer polyurethane. Abstract: The data rate at which DMA transactions are processed by a General Purpose Computer System can be significantly improved by directing housekeeping type transactions directly to the CPU bus and by directing data type transactions directly to Shared Memory. By assigning memory address ranges to particular I/O devices and by programming PCI Interface Logic on a System Controller to detect these ranges and to direct DMA requests directly to either the CPU bus or to the Memory Controller depending upon the address range detected, the speed with which DMA transactions can be processed is enhanced.

Abstract: A silica gel abrasive having good cleaning and low abrasion is prepared by combining at least two silica gels before adjusting the pH of the abrasive to a pH in the range of 3-6. One of the gels is washed at relatively lower temperature compared to the wash temperature of a second gel. The two gels are then milled and dried to a median particle size in the range of 5 to 12 microns. The volatiles content of the gel combination is in the range of 20-40% by weight. The resulting mixtures have low abrasion as measured by Einlehner, e.g., in the range of 0.5 to 3 when measured using a brass screen. A dentifrice composition comprising 10 to 25% of the abrasive has a PCR of at least 80 and can obtain PCR's greater than 100.
