  • Publication number: 20210009267
Abstract: A method is provided. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is operated. A position of the UAV is determined while in flight, and a nonce is generated. A Merkel root is generated based at least in part on a timestamp and the position of the UAV. A current block is calculated based at least in part on a previous block, the Merkel root, and the nonce, and the current block, the timestamp, the nonce, the prior block, and the position of the UAV are transmitted.

  • Patent number: 10852396
Abstract: Examples relate to a turntable peripheral for three dimensional (3D) scanning. In some examples, 3D scan data of a real-world object is obtained while the object is rotated by the turntable peripheral. Positioning commands are sent to the turntable peripheral to rotate the object. The 3D scan data is collected while the turntable peripheral is in an untilted and/or tilted position.

  • Publication number: 20200354055
Abstract: A method is provided. An airship is maneuvered to a desired location and oriented with the thruster such that ambient wind is traveling in a direction that is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fuselage. The airflow from the ambient wind is straightened with the flow straightener to generate a substantially laminar flow. The turbine is engaged with the airflow generated by the ambient wind to generate electricity, and the electricity generated by the turbine is rectified with the rectifier and stored in the storage array.

  • Publication number: 20200298937
Abstract: The present invention relates to a resiliently flexible fin for a surfboard or another surface watercraft, the resiliently flexible fin comprising a titanium or titanium alloy core and an opening in the trailing edge that enables a portion of the rear of the fin to resiliently flex against the force of water as the surfboard is turned, which can generate additional forward thrust for the surfboard as the surfboard exits the turn and the fin returns to its unflexed state displacing water in its path with force.

  • Publication number: 20200285229
Abstract: A vehicle controllable by an autonomous mode and an alternate mode is provided. The vehicle includes a body, one or more lights positioned on the body of the vehicle; and a processor. The processor is operable to be in signal communication with the one or more lights and the vehicle. The processor is configured to: receive an initial signal that the vehicle is being controlled by the autonomous mode or the alternate mode; actuate, when the vehicle is in the autonomous mode, one or more lights positioned on the vehicle to a first state; and actuate, when the vehicle is in the alternate mode, the one or more lights to a second state.

  • Patent number: 10759534
Abstract: A method is provided. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can be operated in an autonomous mode, performing course corrections from sensor data using an object detection processor and a decision processor. The UAV can then enter a hover mode if an override condition is present and enter a remote-control mode once the UAV is in the hover mode. In the remote-control mode, flight control commands can be received via the cellular module so as to position the UAV in response to the flight control command.

  • Patent number: 10676165
Abstract: An adjustable fin for use on a surfboard, the adjustable fin comprising: a base which comprises a mounting means for mounting the adjustable fin to a surfboard, and a member extending in a direction contrary to the mounting means. The adjustable fin further comprises a fin section comprising two outer fin surfaces which meet at a leading edge and a trailing edge; an underside surface comprising an opening to an internal cavity, the internal cavity configured to house the member and enable slidable movement of the member in a direction towards the leading edge or the trailing edge; and a locking means that is manipulate and which projects into the internal cavity, wherein the locking means can releasably couple to the member at one of two or more locking positions thereby preventing slidable movement of the member.

  • Patent number: 10607397
Abstract: Examples relate to capturing and processing three dimensional (3D) scan data. In some examples, 3D scan data of a real-world object is obtained while the real-world object is repositioned in a number of orientations, where the 3D scan data includes 3D scan passes that are each associated with one of the orientations. A projector is used to project a visual cue related to a position of the real-world object as the real-world object is repositioned at each of the orientations. The 3D scan passes are stitched to generate a 3D model of the real-world object, where a real-time representation of the 3D model is shown on a display as each of the 3D scan passes is incorporated into the 3D model.

  • Patent number: 10447107
Abstract: A cover for a motor drive is provided. The cover includes an opening (often at the bottom of the cover) to allow air to pass to an air inlet of the motor drive and an opening (often near the top of the cover) to allow air from an air outlet of the motor drive to exit the cover. A hood provides rain protection for the drive and a separator (such as a baffle) within the enclosure prevents air flowing within the enclosure from the air outlet to the air inlet of the drive. The hood and/or the separator are shaped to direct air from the air outlet away from the enclosure in order to substantially reduce the re-circulation of air from the air outlet to the air inlet of the drive.
