Abstract: A clutch arrangement comprises a rotatable drive input, a rotatable output, and an epicyclic gear arrangement comprising a ring gear, a series of planet gears meshing with the ring gear, a sun gear meshing with the planet gears, and a carrier upon which the planet gears are mounted, the drive input being connected to one of the ring gear and the carrier, the output being connected to the other of the ring gear and the carrier, and a clutch device operable to control relative rotation between the ring gear and the sun gear. The invention also relates to a nosewheel landing gear steering arrangement including such a clutch arrangement.

Abstract: The present application relates to a method of making a glass panel that is partially printed with a plurality of layers in the form of a print pattern which subdivides the panel into a plurality of discrete printed areas and/or a plurality of discrete unprinted areas, said layers being in substantially exact registration. The substantially exact registration is achieved by the application to a sheet of glass of a plurality of superimposed layers, one of the layers containing a ceramic ink comprising glass frit, in a print pattern. The sheet of glass and plurality of layers applied thereto are subjected to a heat treatment process which causes the glass frit to fuse to the glass and bind at least one layer of ink within the print pattern. Any ink not within the print pattern is burnt off and/or vaporised during the hat treatment profess and/or removed by a subsequent finishing process, to leave the desired layers in substantially exact registration within the print pattern.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for connecting a set-top box (STB) to the Internet over existing and future wireless networks, combining television with wireless Internet access. A conventional television is used in combination with a STB that has a wireless or wired keyboard, a power supply, and audio/visual connections for connecting the STB to the television. In an embodiment, a wireless telephone is placed in a docking station on top of the STB, providing the user with both data (when docked) and voice capabilities (when being used simply for telephone calls). CDMA, CDPD, or other wireless technologies may used for connection to the Internet.

Abstract: A ball valve operable as an engine brake to resist high rpm operation of the engine on which it is installed. The ball valve has a noncontact seal and can include an aperture through a seal face to permit bypass of sufficient exhaust for operation of the engine at idle while the brake is engaged. If present, the aperture can be tuned, or sized, to provide a desired back pressure matched to a specific engine.

The EGO content, based on alternative fuel operation, is detected and compared to a desired air-fuel ratio or desired fuel trims to provide error information that is used to adjust the modification of the pulse widths. In response to the error information, a neural network (as an example) dynamically adjust the pulse widths of the alternative fuel injection based on the weights of measured, detected engine speed, EGO, universal exhaust gas oxygen, or air temperatures. The engine operating on alternative fuel is provided with the proper mixture of alternative fuel and air to respond to various engine loads and meet emission standards.

The battery connecting module protects the major engine compartment electrical connections from solid and liquid contaminants, and locates the main fuse in a manner which protects the alternator cable from short circuit conditions. Two of the cables are connected to the module by cable terminals which extend downward and into close proximity with the vertical battery side walls, thereby adding to the security of the battery connecting module's mounting on the battery.

End caps may be of varying shapes but normally are typical L-shaped angles. An alternative system is direct mounted and omits the header and the footer, but must extend above and below the opening by a minimum of four inches for a twelve inch wide shutter panel, or two inches for a six inch wide shutter panel.

One of the posts is a central floatation, padded post. Such post is not to be used for lifting purposes. The posts provide a cage for surrounding personnel on the deck. The deck and the shock-absorbing base have sufficient buoyancy to support the whole chamber and deck in the water with the deck disposed slightly below the water level.
