  • Publication number: 20070024353
Abstract: Single port characterization of RF amplifier phase and amplitude transfer functions are developed by measuring the output of the amplifier as it is excited by a predetermined frequency over a series of bias steps. One bias step is chosen as a reference level. Amplitude characterization is obtained from measured magnitude at each step in the test sequence. Phase information is extracted from the same measurements by measuring phase and phase trajectory at a reference level, and subtracting measured phase information at a desired step in the test sequence from an estimation of the reference phase trajectory at that step. Reference measurements may be interspersed with other measurements.

  • Publication number: 20060294571
Abstract: Systems and methods for sharing video or media content on a distributed network are disclosed. End users may be induced through a variety of ways to allocate some amount of unused disk space and otherwise idle bandwidth for storing media produced in a blogging or web-publishing context. For example, when a user creates a blog, the user may link certain video or media files to it. Such video may be kept in a distributed store across a variety of peer machines. If a visitor visits the blog, the visitor may see contextual ads based upon the subject matter associated with the blog, and the blog owner may receive a share of the advertising revenue generated. A visitor may download the video and combine it with new content. Thus, composite media files may be created from sections taken from any number of previously created video clips, each of which may be associated with a different owner.

  • Publication number: 20060203888
Abstract: Some representative embodiments are directed to systems and methods for randomizing data communicated across a digital interface. In some representative embodiments, a PN sequence is applied to a series of shift registers. An array of exclusive-or gates is provided to scramble each bit of the current data word using a respective output of one or several of the shift registers. In some embodiments, a second pseudo-noise sequence is additionally applied in parallel to another array of exclusive-or gates. Additional lines are provided to communicate the PN sequences from the transmitting side to the receiver side. Also, corresponding arrays of exclusive-or gates and shift-registers coupled to the PN sequence lines are disposed on the receiver side to recover the original data using the PN sequences.

  • Publication number: 20060148996
Abstract: A low refractive index composition that forms a low refractive index layer on an optical display is formed having a co-crosslinked interpenetrating polymer network of a fluoropolymer phase and an acrylate phase. The fluoropolymer phase is preferably formed from fluoropolymers based on THV or FKM and having either a degree of unsaturation and/or containing a reactive cure site monomer in its polymer backbone. The acrylate phase includes a multifunctional acrylate crosslinker, and more preferably includes a perfluoropolyether acrylate crosslinker. The formed low refractive index layer has improved interfacial adhesion to other layers or substrates contained in the optical display. Further, the mechanical strength and scratch resistance of the either of above low refractive index compositions can be further enhanced through the incorporation of surface functionalized inorganic particle into the formed layer.
