Abstract: In one embodiment, a method of permuting a vector comprises providing vector entries of the vector to an input stage of a permuting structure, wherein the permuting structure comprises a plurality of stages and interconnections for groups of vector entries between the plurality of plurality of stages such that any input vector entry can be routed to any output vector entry, loading control elements of the permuting structure with random control bits that control routing of vector entries between stages of the permuting structure, and routing the vector entries from an input stage of the permuting structure to an output structure according to the control bits using the permuting structure.

Abstract: In one representative embodiment, scaling factors and delay values associated with respective analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) of an interleaved ADC are stored in memory. As a digital sample from the interleaved ADC is received, a respective amplitude scaling factor is retrieved from memory and applied to the digital sample. Preferably, a first order correction is then applied to the amplitude corrected-sample. The first order correction estimates the derivative using the current amplitude corrected sample and at least one additional amplitude corrected sample. The derivative is multiplied by an estimate of the respective timing delay associated with the particular sample. The corrected amplitude value is added to the multiple of the derivative and the timing delay to form the fully corrected digital sample.

Abstract: A wireless data communications link connects a wireless device to a test station. The test station transmits command and control parameters to the wireless device using the wireless data communications link. The command and control parameters place the wireless device in a test mode and test the quality and operations of a radio frequency (RF) link established between the wireless device and the test station. Abstract: Multiple copies of web services reside on associated computing devices, each having an associated reputation. A client may desire to access the web service having the highest or best reputation to be ensured of a greater degree of accuracy and confidence. The client does a search, and attaches to whichever web service has the highest reputation. By running multiple copies of the web services, they may vote amongst themselves on the results in the event that one or more of the services starts giving incorrect or otherwise inconsistent results. Combining the voting with reputation data associated with each copy of the web service allows a service's reputation to be dynamically adjusted based upon how faithfully it computes the results of work items sent to it.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically and seamlessly routing telephone calls across a telephone network. The system includes a telephone network interface box having a computer, a master file and client file stored in the computer. The master file is dynamically linked to the client file at routing time to produce a selected client location telephone number which is transmitted across the telephone network. In one embodiment, the system utilizes Automatic Number Identification to identify the calling party. The master file has a plurality of records having a telephone number and a spatial key and is updated frequently. The client file has a plurality of records having a spatial key and a client telephone number. Another embodiment utilizes a spatial coordinate of an instantaneous location of a caller's mobile device as an input to a real-time process which identifies one or more client service locations corresponding to the location of the caller's device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for indirectly converting energy from the wave motion of water into electrical energy. The methods and systems use energy in water waves to pump fluid to an elevated water supply tank. The fluid is then released and flows by gravity to a fluid turbine/generator unit at a lower elevation, causing the turbine to spin and thereby drive the generator to produce electricity. Upon departing the water turbine/generator unit, the water is returned to, and feeds into, a water supply tank at a lower level. In one embodiment, the methods and systems use a pivot-type water pumping unit to capture and convert the energy of water waves. In another embodiment, the methods and systems use a slider-type water pumping unit to capture and convert the energy of water waves.

Abstract: A digital filter and method of filtering frequency translate or shift a spectrum of a digital input signal and further filter a translated signal to reduce or attenuate frequency components in the spectrum of the input signal. The digital filter includes first and second translators and a first filter. The first filter is connected between the first and second translators and is centered approximately at DC. The digital filter may further include a second filter, a third translator connected to an output of the second filter, a complex local oscillator connected to an LO input of each translator, and a complex-to-real converter connected to an output of the third translator. The method includes frequency translating the digital input signal and separately frequency translating a first translated signal after the first translated signal is filtered to produce a second translated signal.

The coating composition adds a monomer of a mono or multi(methyl)acrylate bearing at least one monovalent hexafluoropolypropylene oxide derivative and a free radically reactive compatibilizer consisting of either a fluoroalkyl-group containing acrylate compatibilizer or a fluoroalkylene-group containing acrylate compatibilizer to a conventional hydrocarbon-based hard coat formulation. The resultant coating is substantially smooth and forms a durable surface layer that has low surface energy that is stain and ink repellent.

Abstract: Compounds having two reactive functional groups are described that can be used as a tethering compound to immobilize an amine-containing material to a substrate. The first reactive functional group can be used to provide attachment to a surface of a substrate. The second reactive functional group is a N-sulfonyldicarboximide group that can be reacted with an amine-containing material, particularly a primary aliphatic amine, to form a connector group between the substrate and the amine-containing material. The invention also provides articles and methods for immobilizing amine-containing materials to a substrate.
