  • Publication number: 20200025845
Abstract: A method includes determining a position of a local coil, a coil position, and a position of a body part of a patient, a body part position. Spacing between the coil position and the body part position is determined. An optimized MR sequence is determined. Based on the determined spacing between the coil position and the body part position, it is checked that in a subsequent MR examination of the patient, a predetermined loading threshold value (e.g., an SAR value) is not exceeded. The optimization of the MR sequence thus takes place under the boundary condition that the loading threshold value is not exceeded.

  • Patent number: 10530453
Abstract: A device, method, and computer-readable medium are provided for transmitting control plane information to user equipment (UE) using a Full Dimension MIMO (FD-MIMO) base station. Contextual device data associated with a plurality of mobile devices is obtained. A cluster configuration for a sector is determined based at least in part on the obtained contextual device data. At least one antenna element in a plurality of antenna elements of the FD-MIMO base station that together generate a beamform that corresponds to the determined cluster configuration is selected based on the determined cluster configuration. Control plane information that is directed to the determined cluster configuration is then transmitted from the selected at least one antenna element.

  • Patent number: 10523884
Abstract: An imaging device in accordance with the present disclosure comprises of a pixelated array of semiconductor detector elements, each of the pixels in the array having an in-pixel integrated circuit, the integrated circuit having a comparator, a readout decoder block, and an address arbitration control block. The readout decoder block reads out the integrated signals of the pixels. The address arbitration control block determines the pixel address of the pixels charging beyond a threshold voltage, the threshold exceedance determined by the comparator. The addressed pixels are provided a timestamp for each of the pixels integrating beyond the threshold voltage, the timestamp provided by an off-pixel time-to-digital converter (TDC), the value of the timestamp corresponding with the accumulated charge of the pixel.

  • Publication number: 20190377052
Abstract: In a magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) apparatus and operating method, a field of view for imaging a target object is acquired. A relative position of this field of view in relation to a receiving space of the MRT scanner, in which the target object is received, is then automatically determined. A radio-frequency (RF) pulse to be used by the MRT scanner for imaging the target object is then automatically adjusted depending on this relative position. An excitation angle produced in the field of view by the RF pulse is changed compared to the use of the corresponding unadjusted RF pulse.

  • Patent number: 10480521
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for detecting and preventing compressor surge. A transmitter determines a derivative process value of a compressor. A controller obtains the derivative process value from the transmitter. The transmitter is separate from the controller. The controller compares the derivative process value to a threshold value. The threshold value is indicative of the initiation of a surge event in the compressor. In response to determining that the derivative process value fails to satisfy the threshold value, the controller actuates a valve operatively coupled to the compressor to enable an additional derivative process value of the compressor determined by the transmitter to satisfy the threshold value.
