  • Patent number: 10245951
Abstract: In a pump system for a hybrid electric transmission, the pump is alternately driven by the input shaft and the output shaft, whichever is rotating faster. The input shaft and output shaft are co-axial. Sprockets and a chain transmit power from axis of the input and output shafts to the axis of the pump. The driven sprocket is selectively coupled to the input shaft by a first one-way-clutch and selectively coupled to the output shaft by a second one-way-clutch. Two alternative one-way-clutch and bearing arrangement are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10250783
Abstract: This application is directed to a physical assembly including a magnet mount for physically receiving a physical module that includes a housing having a rear surface of a first shape. The magnet mount includes a first surface, a second surface and a magnetic material. The first surface is configured to attach to a mounting surface. The second surface has a second shape that is substantially complementary to the first shape, and is configured to engage the rear surface of the housing of the physical module. The magnetic material is disposed between the first and second surfaces and configured to magnetically couple to a magnetic material of the physical module. When the physical module is magnetically coupled to the magnet mount, an adjustable union between the magnet mount and the physical module is formed permitting adjustment of an angle of orientation of the physical module with respect to the magnet mount.

  • Patent number: 10161244
Abstract: A technique facilitates pressure testing of seals along a tubing hanger, such as a tubing hanger used in a subsea application. In some applications, the tubing hanger is sealed along its exterior with an upper tubing hanger seal and a lower tubing hanger seal. A valve assembly is deployed along a fluid passageway which is routed to the tubing hanger seals. The valve assembly may be selectively actuated to a test position, e.g. a closed position, which enables pressure isolation and pressure testing of the tubing hanger seals. The valve assembly may also be selectively utilized to introduce fluids into the formation below the tubing hanger.

  • Patent number: 10150368
Abstract: A transaxle is designed to accommodate a power take-off unit (PTU). The transaxle utilizes a chain to transmit power from the engine axis to the differential axis and utilizes planetary final drive gearing on the differential axis. The transaxle includes layshaft gearing to transfer power from the driven sprocket to a PTU axis, bypassing the planetary final drive gearing. The PTU may be fixedly driveably connected to the driven sprocket or selectively driveably connected via a dog clutch.

  • Patent number: 10132404
Abstract: A transmission includes a simple planetary gear set and several clutches. A first clutch selectively couples the carrier of the planetary gear set to a first shell. The housing of the first clutch is integrated with the planetary carrier. A piston return spring extends axially to occupy space between the planet gears. A second and third clutch share a common housing that is fixedly coupled to the ring gear. The second clutch selectively couples the ring gear to the sun gear. The third clutch selectively couples the ring gear to a second shell. The planetary gear set is axially located between the two clutch housings.

  • Patent number: 10082196
Abstract: A power split hybrid transaxle includes an axis transfer chain and a final drive planetary gear set. The components are arranged such that the power split planetary gear set is opposite the final drive planetary gear set with both located at the front of the transmission. This minimized the axial length of the transaxle by limiting the number of components that must be staggered axially. Furthermore, this permits use of electric machines with a large diameter and short axial length which also reduces the total axial length of the transaxle.
