  • Patent number: 5937842
Abstract: A bowstring release includes a handle body, the handle body supporting a jaw release housing and associated jaws actuable by means of a firing pin extending into an interior portion of the handle body; a hammer bar including a hammer head engagable with the firing pin and movable to a cocked position by means of a cocking trigger portion of the hammer bar, the cocking trigger extending outside the candle body; a firing trigger assembly including a firing trigger outside the handle body and a trigger actuating arm located within the handle body; and a roller sear housing and roller sear assembly, the housing having one end engageable with the trigger actuating arm, and the roller engageable with the hammer head, the hammer head is seated in the roller sear housing in a cocked position, such that pressure applied to the firing trigger causes the roller sear housing to release the hammer head for firing engagement with the firing pin.

  • Patent number: 5860408
Abstract: A peep sight device for a bowstring includes a pair of interengaged inner and outer sections, with a sight hole surrounded by a peripheral surface having a degree of taper such that substantially about 120.degree. of natural light is available to the sight hole on each of two opposite sides of the device. The sight hole is formed in the inner section, with an adjacent, interior groove diverting a portion of the bowstring away from the bowstring centerline, thereby enabling the sight hole to lie on the centerline.

  • Patent number: 5803068
Abstract: A rope release device includes a housing having a first fixed jaw and a second jaw movable toward and away from the fixed jaw. A length of rope is secured to the housing and includes a closed loop adapted to be engaged between the first fixed jaw and the second movable jaw. A handle supports the housing for rotational adjustment of the housing relative to the handle to eliminate rope torque at full draw.

  • Patent number: 5787870
Abstract: A bowstring nock has a first half section provided with a first bowstring half groove extending in a first direction and a first fastener hole extending in a second direction, perpendicular to the first direction; a second half section provided with a second bowstring half groove extending in the first direction and cooperable with the first half groove to grip a bowstring therebetween, and a second fastener hole adapted for alignment with the first fastener hole to receive a fastener and thereby secure the first and second half sections together. One of the first and second half sections also includes a tab extending in the first direction a distance greater than a length dimension of the first and second half grooves, to assist in orienting a peep sight device mounted on the bowstring, above the nock.

  • Patent number: 5715805
Abstract: A single ball release nock for a bowstring is adapted for use with a single ball release device. The ball release nock includes a first ball portion having a first bowstring groove extending in a first direction; and an alignment tail portion adapted for interengagement with the ball portion and having a second bowstring groove adapted to cooperate with the first bowstring groove to form an elongated bowstring aperture. The alignment tail portion includes a tail projecting in a direction parallel to the bowstring aperture and extending beyond the ball portion in the first direction. A second embodiment includes a second ball portion at the opposite end of the tail portion for use with a double ball release device.
