  • Patent number: 11269478
Abstract: An improved help system for a user interface of a computer program uses a mask with one or more cutouts to focus a user's attention to the cutout portion(s) and uses the mask to display dynamically positioned help information, such as roll over hints, in the available space on the mask. An intelligent placement algorithm is used to control placement of the help information to avoid overlaps among the help information displayed on the mask. The portions of the user interface (UI) under the mask not selectable while under the one or more masks and the other portions of the UI are selectable while in the one or more cutouts. The roll over hints can be similar to coach marks that include arrows that point from the help information on the mask to an associated UI command in a cutout.

  • Patent number: 11213127
Abstract: A compact recliner mechanism for use in theater seating units is provided that allows the seat to move linearly as the seating unit moves from the closed position to the reclined position. The mechanism has a back bracket coupled to the seat plate and base plate with a linkage that moves a projected point representing the top of the back of the seating unit downwardly in vertical plane as the seating unit moves from the closed position to the reclined position. In other aspects, the seating unit has an armrest linkage coupled between the seat plate and the back that maintains an armrest lever at a horizontal orientation. Additionally, in some aspects, the base plate of the seating unit may have an adjustment feature that limits recline of the seating unit, to accommodate theater seating with different riser dimensions, and/or legs with an adjustment feature to level the seating unit on existing theater floors.

  • Publication number: 20210375142
Abstract: Example embodiments are directed to systems and methods for providing cloud service to an onboard aerial vehicle system, A cloud service system accesses a flight related data. Using the flight related data, the cloud service system generates flight operations in a format of an avionics system on an aerial vehicle. A communication link is established over a communication network between the cloud service system and the aerial vehicle and the generated flight operations is transmitted to the aerial vehicle as digital data sent as data packets. The cloud service system then monitors, in real time, the aerial vehicle during a flight, wherein the monitoring comprises receiving and storing in-flight data from the aerial vehicle and the in-flight data is data reconstructed from a plurality of data packets received from the aerial vehicle. The cloud service system determines, based on the received in-flight data, whether to update the flight operations.

  • Publication number: 20210271873
Abstract: A system and method are capable of ensuring that one or more text strings will be able to be fully rendered in a target area of a user interface or a target area of a graphics file. The system and method determine the number of pixels of first and second reference text that fit in the target area in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, respectively, determine the number of pixels of string text in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, and compare the number of pixels in the horizontal direction of the first reference text and the vertical direction of the second reference text respectively to the number of pixels in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction of the text string that is desired to be rendered in the target area to determine whether the text string will fit in the target area.

  • Publication number: 20210233198
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for detecting non-compliant use of a micro-mobility vehicle, for example, based on parking the micro-mobility vehicle outside of a designated area. In an embodiment, a processor detects that a micro-mobility vehicle shared by a plurality of users has transitioned from an operational state to a parked state, where the micro-mobility vehicle was operated by a user of the plurality of users when in the operational state. The processor determines a location of the micro-mobility vehicle while the micro-mobility vehicle is in the parked state, and evaluates whether it is permissible to transition the micro-mobility vehicle to the parked state at the location. Responsive to determining that it is not permissible to transition to the parked state at the location, the processor updates a profile of the user to indicate non-compliant use of the micro-mobility vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20210224122
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for utilizing directed acyclic graphs for deployment instructions. A computer-implemented method can include various operations. Instructions may be executed by a computing device to perform parses of configuration data associated with a deployment. The computing device may cause a first directed acyclic graph (DAG) to be generated, the first DAG being utilized for deploying a first resource based on the parses. A second DAG may be generated for deploying execution targets based on the parses, the second DAG specifying dependencies between execution targets of the deployment. The computing device may generate a linked list data structure based on the parses and may deploy the computing system by traversal of the linked list data structure.

  • Patent number: 11040703
Abstract: A multifunction windshield wiper includes a wiper arm, a wiper blade holder, and a wiper blade to facilitate, through channels, the direct distribution of the liquid or an air on the windshield surface. The direct distribution of the liquid and an air maximize the wiping effect and minimizes their usage. The wiper arm is assembled with wiper blade holder within the flexible spherical joints to refine the contact with a curved surface during the operational movement of the windshield wiper in the different weather conditions. The windshield wiper arm has a flexible joint with the link arm to facilitate the tension on the windshield surface during the wiping process.
