  • Patent number: 10921139
Abstract: A method includes determining a first task requiring one of a plurality of machines to traverse along a first route and determining a second task requiring the one of the plurality of machines to traverse along a second route. The method also includes determining a first route score for the first route, the first route score being at least in part indicative of a difficulty of traversing along the first route, and determining a second route score for the second route, the second route score being at least in part indicative of a difficulty of traversing along the second route. The method may also include receiving sensor data generated by a sensor associated with a first machine of the plurality of machines and determining, based at least in part on the sensor data, an alertness metric associated with an operator of the first machine.

  • Patent number: 10860697
Abstract: Representative embodiments allow private user created content to be submitted for a query so that a user can search from outside a corporate firewall and retrieve both private user created content and web content. The private user created content and web content are presented in the same user interface. Embodiments allow users to create content and keep a private content index that allows such content to be retrieved with an appropriate query along with public web content. Embodiments allow feedback on the user content to be submitted. Feedback can be used for quality control and other purposes. Some user created content has an expiration date after which the content will not be retrieved. Some embodiments place the private index within a compliance boundary and results are returned from within the compliance boundary directly to a browser so the search system has no access to the private data.

  • Patent number: 10802679
Abstract: A method for configuring a data analyzer is provided. The method comprises displaying to a user, on a presentation interface coupled to a processor, a graphical representation of at least a portion of the data analyzer. A data analyzer configuration for the data analyzer is then generated using a user input interface, which is coupled to the presentation interface and the processor. The presentation interface then displays to the user a plurality of selectable machine train components. The method also comprises generating, using the user input interface, an interactive graphical representation of a machine train including at least one of the selectable machine train components. Using the processor, a configuration file is generated based on the data analyzer configuration and the graphical representation of the machine train. The configuration file facilitates diagnosing operation of the machine train using the data analyzer.

  • Publication number: 20200275781
Abstract: A linkage for use in reclining furniture may include a back bracket supported by forward and rear back pivot links. The bottom of the rear back pivot link may be pivotably coupled to a rear lift link and the bottom of the forward back pivot link may be pivotably coupled to the rear lift link in a different location. A control link may be pivotably coupled on one end to one of the forward back pivot link and the rear back pivot link. The control link may pull the pivoting linkage of the back bracket and the forward and back pivot links as the overall linkage is moved from a closed to a TV to a full-recline position. The resulting pivot point for the back is projected upwardly and forwardly, to a point where an upholstered back and seat meet on a finished chair.

  • Publication number: 20200232809
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for monitoring a location of a client device associated with a transportation service and generating augmented reality images for display on the client device. The systems and methods use sensor data from the client device and a device localization process to monitor the location of the client device by comparing renderings of images captured by the client device to renderings of the vicinity of the pickup location. The systems and methods determine navigation instructions from the user's current location to the pickup location and select one or more augmented reality elements associated with the navigation instructions and/or landmarks along the route to the pickup location. The systems and methods instruct the client device to overlay the selected augmented reality elements on a video feed of the client device.

  • Publication number: 20200232803
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for monitoring a location of a vehicle approaching a pickup location associated with a transportation service and generating composite images for display on a driver client device in response to determining that the vehicle is within a threshold distance of a pickup location. The systems and methods use sensor data from the driver client device and a device localization process to monitor the location of the driver client device located in the vehicle. In response to determining that the driver client device (and thus, the vehicle) is within a threshold distance of the pickup location the service generates one or more composite images by overlaying a stored image of the pickup location with one or more persistent augmented reality elements associated with the pickup location and/or the transportation service.

  • Publication number: 20200097715
Abstract: A system and method are capable of ensuring that one or more text strings will be able to be fully rendered in a target area of a user interface or a target area of a graphics file. The system and method determine the number of pixels of first and second reference text that fit in the target area in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, respectively, determine the number of pixels of string text in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, and compare the number of pixels in the horizontal direction of the first reference text and the vertical direction of the second reference text respectively to the number of pixels in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction of the text string that is desired to be rendered in the target area to determine whether the text string will fit in the target area.

  • Patent number: 10518593
Abstract: A system for managing a plurality of machines is provided that includes a plurality of machines, each having a control module and a tire sensor associated with a tire on the machine. The tire sensor is configured to measure tire data including at least one of tire temperature and tire pressure. A worksite controller is in communication with each control module, and is configured to generate new travel paths for the machines and selectively communicate the new travel path to each control module. A central processor in communication with the worksite controller receives the tire data and uses it to determine a tire load for each tire, comparing the tire load against a tire rating and determining whether the tire rating will be exceeded. The worksite controller is further configured to alter the current assignment of at least one machine in response to the tire load.

  • Patent number: 10485347
Abstract: A seating unit and a mechanism for a seating unit are provided. Each seating unit has a pair of mechanisms operable to move the seating unit between a closed position and a reclined position. Each mechanism includes an extended seat plate that extends from, and connects to, the chair back to the front of a seat frame. Each mechanism also has a rear pivot link, the upper end of which is pivotally connected to the seat plate. This pivotal connection is above the seat frame, allowing the mechanism to move the seating unit to the reclined position with minimal front-to-back movement. The mechanism moves the seating unit to a zero gravity reclined position, without the use of roller tracks.
