  • Publication number: 20160343033
Abstract: Virtual teleportation systems and methods are disclosed. A remote advertising system includes an identification, location and authentication system associated with a physical venue, including a master sensor node and a plurality of sensors. A cloud-based advertisement service is deployed in the physical venue. An application installed on a mobile device determines a first set of coordinates corresponding to the mobile device location, transmits a first search request for a service, receives and displays a list of services, including the physical venue associated with the master sensor node and the physical venue including a teleportation indicator, and receives an indication that the teleportation indicator is selected. The application determines a second set of coordinates corresponding to the physical venue location, replaces the first set of coordinates with the second set of coordinates, transmits a second search request, and receives and displays a second list based on the second set of coordinates.

  • Publication number: 20160345127
Abstract: Zero-wait publishing, searching, and queuing systems and methods are disclosed. The system includes a local retail service engagement application installed on a mobile device. The application requests a service from a service provider system. The application receives data associated with a service provider from the service provider system, transmits a request for a reservation, receives a confirmation of the reservation, transmits a queue request to a queuing system, and receives a confirmation of the queue request. The application determines a physical location of the mobile device, calculates a distance between the mobile device and the service provider, and transmits an estimated arrival time. When the mobile device arrives, the queuing system searches for the mobile device. The system further includes an identification, location and authentication system. The service provider system receives authentication and the relative location of the mobile device and retrieves the reservation.

  • Publication number: 20160345176
Abstract: Identification, location, and authentication systems and methods are disclosed. A system includes a master sensor node located in a physical venue and connected to a broadband network channel. A plurality of sensors is provided in the physical venue, which are in communication with the master sensor node over a wireless network channel. The plurality of sensors and the master sensor node are communicatively coupled to a mobile device over a radio frequency network channel. The master sensor node identifies the mobile device and its location, wherein the mobile device is within a predefined distance from the master sensor node. The master sensor node receives a request from the mobile device to authenticate its identity and location to a third party connected the radio frequency network channel. The master sensor node authenticates the mobile device to the third party, which provides the mobile device access to a network connection.

  • Publication number: 20160086129
Abstract: According to an example, a method for room inventory management may include generating inventory records for rooms for a predetermined time period. An inventory record may include an inventory record index representing a physical property of an associated room, and an inventory record attribute representing a modifiable attribute of the associated room. The method may further include generating keys to identify one or more of the inventory records based on attributes associated with the keys. A key may include a key index that matches the inventory record index for one or more of the inventory records. The method may also include receiving selections of the keys from the generated keys, and generating, by a processor, virtual room pools by grouping the selected keys for each of the selections and the inventory records identified by the selected keys for each of the selections.

  • Publication number: 20150113067
Abstract: An improved method of facilitating contact between mutually interested people takes advantage of existing contact lists such as those on social networking sites, instant messaging programs, or cell phones. A program is integrated into one or more of those technologies, allowing the user to characterize each contact on the basis of the user's level of interest in that contact as a date. The program keeps these rankings secret until two users indicate an interest in each other that surpasses a certain threshold. The users are then notified of the mutual interest. Ads and dating advice are sent along with the notification.

  • Publication number: 20140087892
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of iron-type golf club heads that comprise internal features in the hosel and/or heel regions of the club head that facilitate changing the orientation of the hosel bore relative to the front face of the club head. In some exemplary embodiments, the body comprises a heel cavity in a hosel/heel portion of the club head that extends from a body cavity behind the front face into the hosel adjacent the bore. In other embodiments, the hosel bore comprises a groove or cavity extending below where a distal tip of a shaft is positioned. These internal hosel bending features can reduce the amount of material in the club head in a desired hosel/heel region to facilitate post-manufacturing bending of the club head in that region.

  • Patent number: 7630361
Abstract: A generic data over cable system configures different cable and/or non-cable network infrastructures to operate in a data over cable environment. In one embodiment, a Modular Cable Modem Termination System (M-CMTS) core is coupled to one or more physical gateways over a packet switched network. The physical gateways are connected to endpoints over either a cable or non-cable network infrastructure. An adaptation layer configures the physical gateways and the associated endpoints so that cable applications and cable subscriber services can operate over either the cable or non-cable network infrastructures.

  • Publication number: 20090283007
Abstract: This device is a magnetically levitated (maglev) locomotive powered by an onboard nuclear reactor. The locomotive carries a small portable nuclear reactor that heats a fluid to boiling, and passes it through electric turbine engines to produce electric power. The fluid/steam then recirculates through cooling radiators condensing it back to liquid before it passes back into the reactors again. The electric power is used to power and cool the onboard electromagnets, which oppose passive permanent magnets or magnetic coils in the roadbed. The onboard reactor is capable of providing greater electrical power than previously described maglev systems. This, in turn, provides greater power to the superconducting electromagnets, which translates into greater lift capacity and greater speed.
