  • Publication number: 20080147743
Abstract: An improved method of facilitating contact between mutually interested people takes advantage of existing contact lists such as those on social networking sites, instant messaging programs, or cell phones. A program is integrated into one or more of those technologies, allowing the user to characterize each contact on the basis of the user's level of interest in that contact as a date. The program keeps these rankings secret until two users indicate an interest in each other that surpasses a certain threshold. The users are then notified of the mutual interest. Ads and dating advice are sent along with the notification.

  • Patent number: 7344146
Abstract: The improved wheelchair employs the use of two push levers attached to two forward drive gears, and two reverse drive gears, which propel the two main rear wheels of the chair through bicycle chains connecting the front drive gears to sprocket clusters mounted on the rear wheel axles. Direction control mechanisms allow the user to engage either forward or reverse drive gears, or disengage both, thereby producing forward, neutral, and reverse motion. Derailers are mounted behind each rear axle and are activated by shifter mechanisms mounted on the push levers. Disc brakes are mounted on the frame beside each wheel and activated by hand brake levers mounted on the push levers.

  • Patent number: 7307179
Abstract: A process for preparing cyclic organohydrogensiloxanes is disclosed. The process comprises the steps of (A) and (B). Step (A) comprising contacting a silane of the formula RHSiCl2, where R is selected from alkyl radicals having 1 to 12 carbon atoms and aryl radicals, with water to form a hydrolyzate. The hydrolyzate formed in step (A) comprising cyclic organohydrogensiloxanes and linear organohydrogensiloxanes. Step (B) comprising contacting the hydrolyzate formed in (A) with an acidic rearrangement catalyst in the presence of an inert liquid diluent to increase the ratio of the cyclic organohydrogensiloxanes to linear organohydrogensiloxanes in the hydrolyzate. The process further characterized by that the acidic rearrangement catalyst is an organic compound containing a strong acid group which is dissolved in the inert diluent present.

  • Publication number: 20070257697
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a trio of reliability oscillators. In one embodiment, an on-chip frequency compensation circuit includes a selectively enabled reliability oscillator to generate a reference oscillating signal, a clocked reliability oscillator to generate an AC degraded oscillating signal, and a static reliability oscillator to generate a DC bias degraded oscillating signal. A compare circuit coupled to the reliability oscillators compares the oscillating signals and generates a frequency compensation signal if the comparison determines that there is frequency degradation greater than a predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070252304
Abstract: A method for making a multi-layer plastic preform employs blow molding air into the multi-layer parison until an outer layer of the multi-layer parison rests against the preform mold and thereafter inserting a compression core sized to fit the pre-blown preform to smooth the inner layer of the blown parison and finish the preform. A system for making a multi-layer plastic preform includes a blow stem assembly having a device for introducing air into a multi-layer parison captured by a preform mold in a blow-mold operation, and a compression preform core attached to an end of a compression rod wherein when the compression preform core is retracted into the device, air can be blown into the preform mold and when, the compression rod extends in a stroke through the device, the compression preform core extends out of the device into the preform mold.

  • Publication number: 20070157049
Abstract: The frequency of a bus with at least three agents is limited by both setup and hold timings between any two agents coupled to the bus. To adjust for the setup condition, the bus lengths between any two agents can be short. To adjust for the hold condition, the bus lengths can be long. Different amounts of delay can be built into the bus agents, such as processing cores, which are coupled to a bus with other agents, such other processors or a chipset. The position of an agent on the bus can be used to determine an amount of delay that can be included in the input and output paths of the agent after the semiconductor processing so that a violation of the setup or hold condition does not occur. The delay can be made configurable using links.

  • Patent number: 7188382
Abstract: This device is made to protect the bony surfaces of a foot from prolonged pressure and ultimate skin breakdown. It consists of a cylinder of dense foam that is fitted to encompass the lower leg of a user from the knee to the ankle. When in place on the leg a of a user lying in bed, it will support the lower leg such that the foot will not be in contact with the firm surface of the bed, thus providing total pressure relief to the foot. The user can also lie in any position, even prone, with out interference from this device.
