Abstract: Compounds of the general formula I ##STR1## where R is substituted alkyl and K is the radical of a coupling component free from unsaturated aliphatic radicals, are very useful for dyeing cellulose esters and synthetic polyesters.

Abstract: The present invention discloses substituted phenyl di and trisazo dyes free of reactive groups having two or three sulfonic acid groups, of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein D.sup.1 is ##STR2## Z is hydrogen or D.sup.4 --N.dbd.N--; D.sup.2 is phenyl substituted by hydroxyl, hydroxysulfonyl, chlorine or nitro, or is naphthyl substituted by hydroxy, hydroxysulfonyl or nitro, X, independently of one another, are hydroxyl or amino, D.sup.3 is phenyl which is substituted by hydroxysulfonyl, chlorine, bromine, methyl, methoxy, ethoxy, nitro, phenylamino, sulfophenylamino or nitrosulfophenylamino, or is naphthyl which is substituted by hydroxysulfonyl; D.sup.4 is phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, chlorine, bromine, nitro, sulfamoyl or hydroxysulfonyl, or is naphthyl which is substituted by hydroxysulfonyl; and R.sup.

Abstract: Navy dye mixtures essentially contain dyes of the formula I ##STR1## where X is hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, the radicals R.sup.1 independently of one another are each methyl or ethyl and R is a radical of the formula ##STR2## where A is ##STR3## B is unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenoxy-C.sub.2 - or -C.sub.3 -alkyl or cyclohexyl and R.sup.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, the mixtures containing from 20 to 80 parts of dyes in which R is NH-A-COOB and from 80 to 20 parts of dyes in which R is ##STR4## The novel mixtures are very useful for dyeing synthetic polyesters, and give dyeings which have, in particular, very good heatfastness.

Abstract: Trisazo dyes containing sulfo groups and having the formula: ##STR1## which for the most part give black colorations on paper and particularly on leather and are therefore especially useful as leather dyes.

Abstract: A mixture, soluble in organic solvents, of compounds of the formula ##STR1## where D is a radical of the formula ##STR2## n is 0, 1, 2 or 3 and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently of one another are hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, methoxy or ethoxy;with the proviso that the mixture contains compounds with n=0, 1 and 2 and, optionally, 3; is disclosed as being exceptionally suitable for dyeing petroleum products, waxes and greases.

Abstract: Dye mixtures which comprise two or more dyes of the formula ##STR1## ps where X is hydrogen, methyl or chlorine, and R is a radical of the formula OR.sup.1, OCOCH.sub.3, OCOC.sub.2 H.sub.5, R.sup.1 being hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, are very useful for dyeing cellulose esters.

Abstract: Navy mixtures which contain dyes of the formula I ##STR1## where X is chlorine or bromine,Y is hydrogen, methoxy or ethoxy andR is N(C.sub.2 H.sub.5).sub.2, N(CH.sub.2 CH.dbd.CH.sub.2).sub.2 or N(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OCOCH.sub.3).sub.2,the mixtures being composed of 10-70% of dyes with Y.dbd.H and R=N(C.sub.2 H.sub.5).sub.2, 5-40% of dyes with Y=OCH.sub.3 or OC.sub.2 H.sub.5 and R.dbd.N(CH.sub.2 --CH.dbd.CH.sub.2).sub.2 and 5-80% of dyes with Y=OCH.sub.3 or OC.sub.2 H.sub.5 and R=N(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OCOCH.sub.3).sub.2.The novel mixtures have excellent tinctorial properties and give very fast dyeings on synthetic polyesters.

Abstract: Navy dye mixtures which contain, as essential components, compounds of the general formula I ##STR1## where X is chlorine or bromine, Y is methoxy or ethoxy, and R is ##STR2## NHC.sub.2 H.sub.4 CN, NHCH.sub.2 CH.dbd.CH.sub.2 or N(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OCOCH.sub.3).sub.2, and wherein the dye of the above formula where X is Br, Y is OCH.sub.3 or OC.sub.2 H.sub.5 and R is N(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OCOCH.sub.3).sub.2 is present in an amount of 25-45%, based on the total weight of the mixture, are very useful for dyeing synthetic polyesters.

Abstract: Fluid formulations of oxidation dyes, which are obtained by oxidizing a compound of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is unsubstituted or hydroxy-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkoxy- or C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkanoyloxy-substituted C.sub.2 -C.sub.13 -alkyl,R.sup.2 is hydrogen or unsubstituted or hydroxy- or C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkoxy-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.13 -alkyl andX is hydroxyl, amino or ##STR2## in an organic solvent, are particularly suitable for dyeing mineral oil products, fats and waxes.

Abstract: Dyes of the thiazole series, having the general formula I ##STR1## where D is the radical of an aromatic diazo component,R is a heterocyclic radical andR.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrogen or unsubstituted or substituted hydrocarbon radicals, which may also together form a ring, which may or may not be heterocyclic.The dyes according to the invention are particularly suitable for dyeing synthetic polyesters.

Abstract: Dye mixtures, containing dyes of the formula I ##STR1## where X is hydrogen, chlorine or bromine,R.sup.1 is hydrogen, methoxy, ethoxy or phenoxy,R.sup.2 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, n-propyl or iso-propyl andR is ##STR2## where R.sup.3 is allyl, methallyl, crotonyl, prenyl or benzyl,R.sup.4 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkyl, allyl, methallyl, crotonyl, prenyl or benzyl andR.sup.4 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkyl,the mixtures containing not less than 60% of dyes wherein R is ##STR3## or NHC.sub.2 H.sub.4 CN, from 0 to 40% of one or more dyes wherein R is ##STR4## and from 0 to 40% of one or more dyes wherein R is ##STR5## the two last-mentioned components accounting for not less than 5% of the mixture.The mixtures are exceptionally useful for dyeing polyesters.

Abstract: Acid monoazo dyes of the formula ##STR1## in which X is hydrogen, chloro, bromo, nitro, C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl, methoxy, ethoxy or C.sub.2 to C.sub.4 alkanoylamino and K is a radical of a coupling compound as defined below. The dyes are suitable for dyeing natural or synthetic polyamides giving colorations with very good fastness properties.

Abstract: Monoazo and disazo dyes having an unsubstituted or substituted aniline or p-aminoazobenzene as diazo component and an N-substituted .beta.-naphthylamine of six to eighteen carbon atoms in the N-substituent as coupling component. Preferred diazo components are phenyl, tolyl, phenylazophenyl and tolylazotolyl, and preferred coupling components are provided by .beta.-naphthylamine which is N-monosubstituted by n-hexyl, n-octyl, .beta.-ethylhexyl, 3,5,5-trimethylhexyl, tridecyl, .beta.-ethylhexoxypropyl, cyclohexyl, benzyl or phenylethyl. The dyes are eminently suitable for the coloring of for example mineral oils, gasoline, fats and waxes because of their excellent solubilities.
