  • Patent number: 4250090
Abstract: Acid azo dyes containing thiazole coupling components, of the general formula ##STR1## where D is the radical of a diazo component,R is hydrogen, acetyl, benzoyl or an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic radical,R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently of one another are optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl,R.sup.1 may also be hydrogen andR.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together with the nitrogen may be a heterocyclic radical, andthe radicals D, R, R.sup.1 and/or R.sup.2 may in total contain from 1 to 4 --SO.sub.3 H groups. The deeply colored novel compounds are particularly suitable for dyeing polyamides, and the dyeings obtained have very good lightfastness and wetfastness.

  • Patent number: 4221711
Abstract: Brown to violet azo dyes of the general formula ##STR1## where X and Y are chlorine or bromine, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, chlorine, methoxy or ethoxy, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, C.sub.1-4 alkanoylamino, benzoylamino or alkoxycarbonylamino, where alkoxy is of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and the radicals R.sup.3 are identical or different, unsubstituted or substituted aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic radicals. The dyes may be used for dyeing synthetic fibers, especially polyesters, and give very fast dyeings.
