Patent number: 6830276Abstract: The invention relates to a console box arrangement for vehicles comprising a housing having a container and a lid, the lid being pivotably arranged about an axis with respect to the container, from a closed position to a fully opened position in which the container and the lid extend in opposite directions along generally the same longitudinal direction, said housing further includes a cupholder which is pivotable about the axis and shaped so as to accommodate and support a drinking glass, cup, bottle, can or similar object. The invention is characterized in that the cupholder includes a first holder component and a second holder component which are pivotable with respect to each other about the axis so that the first holder component can be accommodated in the container and the second holder component can be accommodated in the lid. By means of the invention, an improved console box arrangement is provided, which gives access to a cupholder for the occupants in both the front and rear seats.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2003Date of Patent: December 14, 2004Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventor: Gunnar Johansson, Sr.

Patent number: 6061330Abstract: A control system in an ATM system controls flows of data cells and flow control management cells from a number of sources to a destination over connections passing a network element. The flow control management cells are returned from the destination via the network element to their respective sources. The network element is exposed to congestion due to contention between the connections, that necessitates queuing of the connections. The flow control management cells have an explicit rate field for an explicit rate value used to limit a source maximum allowed cell rate to a specific value. An operating function uses deviations from an available rate value for lower priority cells and from a queue length reference forming a desirable queue length, to calculate a modified explicit rate value as a function of these deviations. This modified explicit rate value is introduced into the explicit rate field of the backward flow control management cells.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 1998Date of Patent: May 9, 2000Assignee: Telefoanktiebolaget LM EricssonInventor: Per Gunnar Johansson

Patent number: 6023110Abstract: Switching equipment with a contactor (CE) and a circuit breaker (BR) located ahead of the contactor. For detection of welded-together contacts of the contactor, this is provided with means (SC) adapted, a certain time after an opening order to the contactor, to apply a voltage pulse to the operating coil (12) of the contactor and to compare the current response of the operating coil with a comparison level for forming a detection signal (s.sub.d), which is supplied to the circuit breaker. Upon detection of welded-together contacts, the detection signal triggers an opening of the circuit breaker for disconnection of the contactor.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1998Date of Patent: February 8, 2000Assignee: ABB Research Ltd.Inventors: Claude Henrion, Gunnar Johansson, Paul Stephansson, Harald Vefling

Patent number: 5914850Abstract: Contactor equipment with an operating magnet with an operating coil (CW) as well as an armature, which moves in dependence on the current through the operating coil. The contactor has control means (TR, CC, R1. R2, R3) which control the voltage supplied to the operating coil. During the closing operation of the contactor, for utilization of the current-reducing effect of the change of inductance taking place because of the movement of the armature during a closing operation, a voltage is supplied to the operating coil which is substantially constant during the closing operation and independent of the current of the operating coil. After a completed closing operation, the current is controlled through the operating coil in accordance with a reference value.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 1997Date of Patent: June 22, 1999Assignee: Asea Brown Boveri ABInventor: Gunnar Johansson

Patent number: 4764016Abstract: An instrument for measuring the topography of a surface, comprising a light transmitting device for transmitting a light beam onto the surface; a light receiving device for receiving light reflected by the surface; a detector for detecting the position of the received light relative to the optical axis of the light receiving device; and means for providing relative movement between on one hand the light transmitting (10,L1,L2) and light receiving (L3,L4,8) devices, and on the other hand the surface (2) to be measured. According to the invention the optical axis (11) of the light transmitting device (10,L1,L2) is arranged to form a small angle (.gamma..sub.1) with the normal to the median plane (13) of a workpiece surface (2) to be measured. The angle (.gamma..sub.1) is smaller than about 15.degree.. The optical axis (9) of the light receiving device (L3,L4) forms a right angle, or substantially a right angle (8) with the optical axis of the light transmitting device.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1987Date of Patent: August 16, 1988Assignee: Anders BengtssonInventor: Gunnar Johansson
