    Abstract: Methods, User Equipment, UE, (120) and source network node (111) for resuming a Radio Resource Control, RRC, connection to a target cell in a wireless communications network (100). The UE generates a security token using a set of input parameters, and sends a resuming request with the security token to a target network node (112) serving the target cell. When receiving the resuming request, the source network node generates a security token using a set of input parameters in the same manner as the UE. If the received security token is successfully verified when compared with the generated security token, the source network node provides to the target network node a UE context of the UE, to enable the target network node to resume the RRC connection.

When a connection failure with the first cell is detected, the wireless device performs a cell selection and selects a second cell served by a second radio network node operating in the second RAT. The second cell is known by the wireless device to be a candidate for re-establishment. The wireless device determines a first set of parameters to be used as an identifier of the wireless device, wherein the first set of parameters is associated with the first cell. The wireless device transmits, to the second cell, a re-establishment request message comprising the first set of parameters.

The method further comprises identifying, at the first network node, whether the first network node is able to access the first cell based on the second indication in the system information block.     Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method for use in a wireless device of acquiring system information associated with a core network comprises receiving system information from a network node. The network node is connected to one or more core networks. The system information includes an indication of a network type (e.g., enhanced packet system (EPS), fifth generation system (5GS), etc.) for each core network. The method further comprises determining a capability of the wireless device for connecting to the plurality of network types, and determining whether to connect to a core network based on the network type and the capability of the wireless device. In particular embodiments, the indication of the network type comprises a list of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) connected to the network node and an indication of network types supported by each PLMN.
