  • Publication number: 20180332470
Abstract: A method in a User Equipment (UE) of an Evolved Packet System (EPS) establishes a security key (K_eNB) for protecting Radio Resource Control/User Plane (RRC/UP) traffic exchanged with a serving eNodeB. The method comprises sending a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) Service Request to a Mobility Management Entity (MME), the request indicating a NAS uplink sequence number (NAS_U_SEQ). The method further comprises receiving an indication of the NAS_U_SEQ of the NAS Service Request sent to the MME, back from the MME via the eNodeB. • Publication number: 20180324682
Abstract: A radio device (10) receives an access information table (402) from the cellular network. The access information table (402) comprises parameters of a plurality of configurations for controlling access of the radio device (10) to the cellular network. Further, the radio device (10) receives an identifier (403) from the cellular network. Depending on the identifier (402), the radio device selects one of the configurations from the access information table (402). In response to determining that at least one of the received access information table (402) and the received identifier (403) is outdated, the radio device (10) determines, depending on an indicator associated with the selected configuration, whether to perform an access attempt (409) to the cellular network on the basis of the selected configuration.

  • Publication number: 20180310228
Abstract: A radio device (10) acquires system information from the wireless communication network. The system information comprises parameters for controlling access of the radio device (10) to the wireless communication network. The system information is organized in at least two classes differing with respect to a risk level associated with accessing the wireless communication network based on one or more parameters of the class. Further, the radio device (10) receives validation information which enables the radio device (10) to determine, individually for at least one of the classes, validity of the system information as previously acquired by the radio device (10). Depending on the validity and the risk level associated with at least one of the classes, the radio device (10) determines whether to access the wireless communication network based on the system information as previously acquired by the radio device (10).

  • Patent number: 10091642
Abstract: Handling of UE capability information in a mobile telecommunications network wherein an eNodeB receives information regarding the UE capability information from the UE and stores the information. The eNodeB sends the UE capability information to the EPC, i.e., to an MME, which receives and stores the UE capability information. When the UE transits from idle to active state, does an initial attach, or when a part of the UE capabilities have changed, it sends a message to the eNodeB regarding the update. The eNodeB forwards the message to the UE, which sends a response associated with the previously stored UE capability information to the eNodeB. The eNodeB decides whether the UE capabilities stored in the NUB is up-to-date based on the message from the UE and the response from the MME. If the UE holds updated OF capabilities the eNodeB can request updated UE capability information from the UE.

  • Patent number: 10075987
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method, performed in a single IP-address source node in a wireless communication network, of establishing a multipath TCP, MPTCP, connection for transfer of TCP data in MPTCP subflows to a destination node. The single IP-address source node receives an MPTCP trigger to activate a multipath TCP connection. One or more source TCP ports are selected, wherein each source TCP port is selected to constitute a starting point of an MPTCP subflow. One or more MPTCP notifications are sent to the destination node. Each MPTCP notification includes information on a selected source TCP port. The single IP-address source node receives an acknowledgment of each MPTCP notification from the destination node.
