  • Publication number: 20080100716
Abstract: Methods for estimating a point spread function of a blurred digital image. One example method includes capturing gyro data during an image exposure time, deriving gyro samples from the gyro data at predetermined gyro sampling times, calculating a motion vector field of the image at each gyro sampling time, approximating an overall image scene motion path by averaging motion paths of selected pixels in the image, and estimating the point spread function from the approximated overall image scene motion path.

  • Publication number: 20070071424
Abstract: A method, apparatus and image capture device for limiting motion blur during capture of an image predetermines a relationship between movement of the image capture device, time and blur extent. A rate of movement of the image capture device is obtained and used in conjunction with the determined relationship and a blur extent limit as a basis for obtaining a maximum exposure time for the image capture device in order to limit blur extent. On the basis of the maximum exposure time obtained and a required image brightness, the image capture device is configured, and then an image is captured by the image capture device. Once the image has been captured, due to the possibility of under-exposure from having limited the exposure time, the image is processed as required to increase its intensity.

  • Patent number: 7125536
Abstract: This invention relates to a composition comprising nano-structured metal oxide particles (particularly, zirconia) and at least one stabilizing agent, a method to produce the composition, and a method to produce the thermally stable nano-structured particles. The method to produce the nano-structured particles comprises first preparing a base solution and a nanoparticle precursor solution, then combining these solutions at a final pH 7 or greater to precipitate a colloidal hydrous oxide. The colloidal hydrous oxide is then treated with at least one silicate, phosphate, or aluminum phosphate stabilizing agent and dried. These nano-structured particle products have high thermal stability and are particularly advantageous in applications as catalysts or catalyst supports that operate at high temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20060084569
Abstract: The present invention is directed to high activity titanium oxide DeNOx catalysts. In preferred embodiments, by depositing vanadium oxide on a titania supported metal oxide such as tungsten oxide, an improved catalyst may be generated. This catalyst may be used in the treatment of exhaust from sources such as automobiles and industrial plants.

  • Publication number: 20050175525
Abstract: The present invention is directed to producing nano-structured particles that have high specific surface-areas and high thermal stability. By aging nanoparticle precursors, and processing them under appropriate conditions, one is able to generate nano-structured particles that may be used in catalysts. By adding a stabilizing agent one is able to further improve the high thermal stability. These nano-structured particle products are particularly advantageous in applications as catalysts or catalyst supports that operate at high temperatures.

  • Patent number: 6756115
Abstract: The invention relates to particles with opalescent effect—especially 3-D structural color pigments-based on solid colloidal crystals of monodispersed spheres and the manufacturing processes suitable for large-scale production of such solid colloidal crystal products. The particles with opalescent effect contain a sphere based crystal structure (or super-lattice) built up by monodisperse spheres and one or more secondary types of much smaller colloidal particles occupying partially or completely the empty spaces between the monodisperse spheres.
