Abstract: Provided is a video codec selection method which includes transmitting, by a station management entity (SME) of a first station, a codec selection request primitive which requests approval of a use of at least one codec to be used for compression of at least one video stream to a protocol adaptation layer (PAL) of the first station, transmitting, by the PAL of the first station, a codec selection request frame which requests approval of the use of the at least one codec to a second station, and receiving, by the PAL of the first station, a codec selection response frame which indicates whether the use of the at least one codec is approved from the second station.

The method of generating video packets includes: generating at least one pixel block consisting of at least one reference pixel and a plurality of neighboring pixels adjacent to the at least one reference pixel from pixels of a video frame; replacing pixel values of the neighboring pixels in the at least one pixel block with pixel difference values, which are difference values between a pixel value of one of pixels adjacent to the neighboring pixels and the pixel values of the neighboring pixels; generating packets so that a pixel value of the at least one reference pixel and the pixel difference values of the neighboring pixels are allocated to different packets according to positions of the pixels; and performing entropy coding of some of the packets including the pixel difference values of the neighboring pixels.

Abstract: A method of performing hand-over in a personal basic service set (PBSS) including a plurality of stations and one coordinator is provided. An association request frame comprising PCP capability information, and requesting to associate to the PBSS, is received from each of the stations. The PCP capability information comprises information regarding at least one of whether each of the stations supports a power source capability of continuous power supply, whether each of the stations supports a channel time allocation function, and whether each of the stations supports a network clustering function. An association response frame, indicating whether the association request received from each of the stations is approved, is transmitted to each of the stations, and a priority to be a coordinator of the stations is determined based on the PCP capability information. Hand-over is performed with one of the stations according to the determined priority.

The method includes scanning, by an input device of the MS, a mobile code; analyzing identifier information of the scanned mobile code; determining whether the identifier information corresponds to other information stored in the MS; if the identifier information corresponds to other information stored in the MS, acquiring location information, to be matched on a first cyber map in the MS, corresponding to the identifier information; matching the acquired location information on the first cyber map and displaying the matched first cyber map on an output device of the MS; and calculating a moving distance and a path using at least one location corresponding to the acquired location information.

Abstract: Disclosed are a system and a method for controlling wireless network access information in using a removable external modem. These relates to a case where a removable external modem among devices for a wireless access server (e.g. WiMAX) is connected with a host customer electronics (CE) device so as to be used. Particularly, in a case where the removable external modem, which has no information for accessing a specific network, e.g. operator Lock, a roaming list, a credential, operator ID, etc., when it is introduced, receives network access information through initial access, registration, and provisioning step, and is connected to other device to be used, the modem can be directly connected to a network of an existing registered network communication provider without a separate supplementary registration or a provisioning step.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for providing an electronic device with a DM service, including: a DM server for providing the electronic device with the DM service; and a wireless terminal capable of being directly connected to the DM server for establishing a DM session while cooperating with the electronic device, generating an MO used for managing the electronic device with reference to a DDF of the electronic device if the wireless terminal receives the DDF of the electronic device from the electronic device through the DM session, and transmitting the generated MO to the DM server.

The terminal receives a service guide with a terminal function management condition from a mobile broadcast service broadcasting server, stores and processes the service guide, and delivers a service subscription request to the mobile broadcast service broadcasting server, receives a message with a Device Management (DM) command generated by a DM server, as the mobile broadcast service broadcasting server receiving the service subscription request sends a request for a DM command regarding a function and a management operation of a terminal to be managed, to the DM server, and stores the DM command and executes the DM command if a status of the terminal satisfies the terminal function management condition.
