  • Patent number: 7310388
Abstract: A direct conversion receiver includes a receiver for receiving a signal including multiple components at different receiving frequencies belonging to a frequency band. A mixer mixes the signal components into a base band signal comprising I- and Q branches. A converter converts the analog base band signal into a digital signal. The receiver includes a measuring unit for measuring power levels of the signal components in pairs, where one component in the pair belongs to an upper sideband of the frequency band and one component in the pair belongs to a lower sideband of the frequency band. An estimator estimates, when either the upper sideband component or the lower sideband component dominates in power over the component in the pair, a frequency-independent phase imbalance, a frequency-dependent phase imbalance and a gain imbalance, and a compensator compensates the estimated imbalances to at least one of the I- and Q-branch signals.

  • Publication number: 20070281238
Abstract: Toner images applied on the first-side and on the second-side of a substrate are fixed together by microwaves, by being heated to a final fixing temperature, and that the toner image applied on the first-side is prefixed by microwaves before a toner image on the second-side is applied, with the toner image of the first-side being heated to a prefixing temperature that is lower than the final fixing temperature.

  • Publication number: 20070280751
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to produce a suitable printed image in a printing machine and provide efficient cooling of the printing material following a fusing operation. To do so, a method for fusing toner to a printing material (5) is provided, in which case the printing material (5) is guided in a contacting manner below the toner's glass transition temperature and in a non-contacting manner above the toner's glass transition temperature. Furthermore, a fusing arrangement (1) is provided, which comprises at least one device (3) for guiding the printing material (5) in a contacting manner below the toner's glass transition temperature and at least one device (12) for guiding the printing material (5) in a noncontacting manner above the toner's glass transition temperature.

  • Publication number: 20070272705
Abstract: The container for infusion liquids comprises an extended hollow body (11), with a standing bottom (20) and a tapered shoulder region (14), which transforms into a neck (15). Should the container be emptied without ventilation the container walls collapse. Fold lines (BL) are provided in the standing bottom (20) and/or the shoulder region (14) at which the container can deform in a defined way, in order that the residual volume remains small. The container can be economically produced and filled by a blowing method, thus requiring a limited air volume and hence offering a good utilisation of the internal volume. Said positive properties render the container suitable for application to pressurised infusions.

  • Patent number: 7286843
Abstract: A method for identifying a remote radio unit in a communication system comprises a plurality of remote radio units communicating with a central unit and pattern providing means for providing information about dedicated gain change patterns of the remote radio units. The method comprises receiving a signal from a station by a remote radio unit of the plurality of remote radio units. The method also includes changing the gain of at least one remote radio unit according to a dedicated gain change pattern of the at least one remote radio unit. The method also includes detecting a gain change pattern for the received signal and identifying the remote radio unit by comparing the detected gain change pattern with information about dedicated gain change patterns of the remote radio units provided by the pattern providing means. An example may be locating a station, such as a user equipment, in a distributed radio system.

  • Patent number: 7163186
Abstract: A valve housing 1 with valve seat 10 incorporated in a fluid line features a closing element 2 with a valve disk 11 and a valve stem 12 extending through and sealed in the housing wall which, on the outer side, is locked by means of a locking pin 17 actuated by a solenoid. Owing to the geometry of the valve disk and the annular gap 20 as well as the action of a spring element 23, the inlet-side pressure acting upon the closing element 2 exceeds the outlet-side pressure, as a result of which the fluid flow via the annular gap is interrupted in only a few milliseconds merely by the permanently present, higher mechanical pressure if the valve stem is released merely by the movement of the locking pin effected by a small and lightweight solenoid 18, actuated on the basis of a signal indicating an event.

  • Patent number: 7100354
Abstract: A mechanical-electronic shut-off system detects a shaft failure and initiates the shut-off of the fuel supply. It features, on the free end of a reference shaft (2) connected the to energy-consuming end of the respective shaft (1), an axially moveable signal trip element (13, 14) held under pre-load (12) whose locking arrangement (17,18) is released via a radial driver arrangement (17, 19) by rotary movement in the event of a shaft failure. The resultant relative rotation of the shaft (1) enables the signal trip element to move towards a sensor (21) or a switching element. An electric signal so produced instantly interrupts the further supply of fuel by means of an electronic control and avoids or controls a dangerous overspeed condition of the failed shaft.
