  • Patent number: 4048949
Abstract: A turret indicator for a television receiver includes a stationary gear attached to a mounting base with a shaft passing through it. A rotatable carrier turret is mounted on the shaft and it carries five rotatable planetary indicator turrets which are programmed with channel numbers, five on each indicator turret to give a total of 25 indicating positions. When the rotatable carrier turret is rotated, the numerals on the indicator turrets appear sequentially at a viewing window in the television receiver cabinet.

  • Patent number: 4050050
Abstract: A potentiometer assembly particularly suited for supplying tuning voltages for all of the bands of signals capable of receipt by a television receiver or the like, includes three segments of resistive material arranged in a circle on a support member. Each of the segments corresponds to a different band of frequencies to which the television receiver may be tuned. Band selection is effected by comparable conductive segments on the support member. In one embodiment, a single wiper is used to sweep all of the resistive segments to supply the desired tuning voltage output. A cam arrangement is used to adjust the detented position of the wiper relative to the support member to effect fine tuning at each position. Other embodiments utilize individually adjustable wipers for each station or detent position of the tuner, with each wiper being preset to effect the fine tuning at the detented position of the potentiometer assembly.

  • Patent number: 3998148
Abstract: A rotatable pressing spindle is mounted in a housing which surrounds it and which has an upper section, a lower section and a middle section. The middle section includes a self-supporting outer jacket and a tubular screen received with radial clearance in the outer jacket. Mounting elements are provided on the outer jacket, extending inwardly thereof and mounting the screen on the outer jacket, and connecting elements connect the outer jacket with the upper and lower housing sections, respectively. Other features are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 3989273
Abstract: In a mounting device for the heel of a ski boot, a sole depressor is lockable in a heel-engaging pivoted position irrespective of the sole thickness or any snow packed beneath the sole. A locking arm carried by the sole depressor or a frame member passes through a hole in a clamping plate pivoted to the frame member or depressor, respectively. A spring acts on the clamping plate so that the locking arm is canted in the hole and binds on the edges of the hole, thereby locking the sole depressor against movement to a heel-releasing position. A handle can deliberately unlock the sole depressor by straightening the clamping plate against the action of the spring so that the locking arm is no longer canted and no longer binds on the edges of the hole.

  • Patent number: 3980242
Abstract: An annular core holder form supports in rotatable fashion a toroidal core in connection with a pair of fixed support members to comprise a core holder assembly for winding wire coils on the core through the action of a revolving wire-carrying shuttle of a coil winding machine. The core holder form is intergally wound to the core through the wrapping action of the shuttle and is removable with the core. The pair of support members and the holder form have generally central first openings extending axially therethrough to permit the shuttle to thread the core, support members and holder form in order to wind the wire coils axially about the annular wall of the core. The support members have respective second openings communicating with the first openings and which are aligned with each other to permit the passage of a winding wire strand.
