Abstract: A method of driving an electro-optic display includes the following steps. First, a first frame is displayed on pixels at a first time. Next, data of a second frame predetermined to be displayed on the pixels at a second time later than the first time is determined. Next, an eliminating frame showing a first extreme gray level or a second extreme gray level is displayed on the pixels at a third time. Afterwards, a medium frame is displayed on the pixels at a fourth time later than the third time. The third and fourth times are between the first and second times. The gray level shown by each pixel at the fourth time is close to the gray level predetermined to be shown by the same pixel at the second time. Abstract: An electrophoretic display includes a plurality of pixels. A display method applied to the electrophoretic display includes the following steps. Firstly, a first frame is displayed on the pixels at a first time. Next, a difference amount between the pixels at the first time and the pixels at a second time predetermined for displaying a second frame is calculated. The second time is later than the first time. Next, whether the difference amount is larger than a predetermined value is determined. Next, corresponding part of the second frame is displayed on part of the pixels corresponding to the difference amount at the second time if the difference amount is not larger than the predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20090306687
Abstract: A scleral buckling band and a method for making the same are described. The scleral buckling band is used for an ophthalmic operation, which is biocompatible and has a slender cylindrical structure formed by a decomposable and absorbable material. When being implanted into human body, the scleral buckling band is degraded and absorbed by the human body, without causing any immune response. After the patient is recovered, the scleral buckling band does not need to be taken out through another operation. Meanwhile, the decomposition rate of the scleral buckling band within the human body can be controlled through different preparation manners, so as to cater to different recovery speeds of different patients. Furthermore, the scleral buckling band contains different medicine, and after being implanted into human body and being decomposed, the scleral buckling band releases different specific medicine as time elapsed.

  • Patent number: 7606443
Abstract: The present invention relates to an interpolation method for enlarging an image, wherein the image is composed of plural scanning lines. Firstly, it selects four adjacent continuous pixels xk?1, xk, xk+1, and xk+2 which have the pixel values f(xk?1), f(xk), f(xk+1), and f(xk+2) respectively on each of the scanning lines; next, it determines three linear equations Lk?1, Lk, and Lk+1 according to every two adjacent pixel values f(xk?1) and f(xk), f(xk) and f(xk+1), and f(xk+1) and f(xk+2), respectively; then, it selects a pixel x to be interpolated between the pixel xk and the pixel xk+1; finally, it applies the pixel x to the three linear equations Lk?1, Lk, and Lk+1 to determine three candidate pixel values which are weighted and combined to obtain pixel value f(x) of the pixel x.

  • Patent number: 7545559
Abstract: A display method applied to an electrophoretic display having pixels includes steps as follows. Firstly, a first frame is displayed on the pixels at a first time. Then the difference between the pixels at the first time and those at a second time predetermined for displaying a second frame is determined and part of the pixels corresponding to the difference are divided into a first pixel group (pg) and a second pg. The first pg shows a first single-color at the first time and a second single-color at the second time and the color shown by the second pg is opposite to that shown by the first pixel group. Next, a medium image is displayed on the first pg at a third time between the first and the second times and shows the second single-color.
