  • Publication number: 20160294699
Abstract: Various exemplary embodiments relate to a method of offline traffic matrix unaware segment routing. The method may include determining the fraction of traffic between a node i and a node j is routed though node k, by minimizing the maximum value of any link e carrying traffic between node i and node j based upon the following constraints: using a dual variable ?(e,e?) where e? is an alternate link to e? for comparison, the fraction of traffic from i to j that is routed through intermediate node k is greater than or equal to zero; the total traffic from i to j that is routed through intermediate node k is equal to 1 for all (i,j) pairs; and determining when the total capacity for link e as constrained by the dual variable is less than or equal to the capacity, c of link e? for all e?.

  • Publication number: 20160292130
Abstract: A computer receives a document which contains one or more fixed sizes that make viewing on the smaller screens of a mobile devices difficult or otherwise impossible. The computer identifies what role the nodes contained in the document will fulfill when generated in a scalable, grid-like format capable of being viewed on smaller screens. The computer identifies and assigns grid positions to the nodes of the document such that the original locations of the nodes of the document are maintained when generated in the viewable format. The computer annotates the document with the identified roles and assigned grid positions such that a mobile adapter may process the annotations in order to generate the document in a format viewable on smaller screen sizes.

  • Publication number: 20160292314
Abstract: In one aspect, a method for providing design point recommendations for an integrated circuit (IC) design is disclosed. The method comprises receiving an IC design along with a reference PPA (power, performance, area) metric at a reference design point, and a target PPA metric. The method also comprises estimating trial PPA metrics for the IC design at multiple design points, wherein estimating trial PPA metric at each design point includes accessing a PPA database containing PPA metrics for multiple test components, determining scale factors from the reference design point to the trial design point for test components equivalent to components of the IC design, and applying the scale factors to the reference PPA metric to determine the trial PPA metric for the trial design point. The method further comprises recommending a trial design point based on the estimated trial PPA metric and the received target PPA metric.

  • Publication number: 20160293729
Abstract: A semiconductor arrangement and method of formation are provided. The semiconductor arrangement comprises a conductive contact in contact with a substantially planar first top surface of a first active area, the contact between and in contact with a first alignment spacer and a second alignment spacer both having substantially vertical outer surfaces. The contact formed between the first alignment spacer and the second alignment spacer has a more desired contact shape then a contact formed between alignment spacers that do not have substantially vertical outer surfaces. The substantially planar surface of the first active area is indicative of a substantially undamaged structure of the first active area as compared to an active area that is not substantially planar. The substantially undamaged first active area has a greater contact area for the contact and a lower contact resistance as compared to a damaged first active area.
