  • Publication number: 20230066917
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring failure of a train within a tunnel is disclosed. The method comprises receiving, by the central server, an estimated crossing time for the train to cross the tunnel and the latest location of the train from a telemetry system onboard the train. The telemetry system comprises a Head-of-Train device communicatively coupled to an End-of-Train device. The method further comprises detecting a failure event associated with the train, by the central server, if an attempt to establish communication with the telemetry system is unsuccessful after the estimated crossing time. The method further comprises broadcasting, by the central server, an emergency alert message indicating the failure event to one or more receiving devices based on the latest location of the train. The receiving device is associated with at least one of an operator control station and an adjacent train.

  • Patent number: 11593443
Abstract: Operational machine components of an information technology (IT) or other microprocessor- or microcontroller-permeated environment generate disparate forms of machine data. Network connections are established between these components and processors of an automatic data intake and query system (DIQS). The DIQS conducts network transactions on a periodic and/or continuous basis with the machine components to receive the disparate data and ingest certain of the data as measurement entries of a DIQS metrics datastore that is searchable for DIQS query processing. The DIQS may receive search queries to process against the received and ingested data via an exposed network interface. In one example embodiment, a query building component conducts a user interface using a network attached client device. The query building component may elicit search criteria via the user interface using a natural language interface, construct a proper query therefrom, and present new information based on results returned from the DIQS.

  • Patent number: 11595152
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a binary clustered forward error correction encoding scheme. Systems and methods are disclosed that define binary clustered encodings of the media packets from which forward error correction (FEC) packets are computed. The different encodings specify which media packets in a frame are used to compute each FEC packet (a frame includes M media packets). The different encodings may be defined based on the quantity of media packets in a frame, M?floor(2N), where each bit of the binary representation of N is associated with a different cluster pair encoding of the media packets. Each cluster pair includes a cluster for which the bit=0 and a cluster for which the bit=1. Computing FEC packets using at least two cluster pair encodings provides redundancy for each media packet, thereby improving media packet recovery rates.

  • Patent number: 11593117
Abstract: Various aspects disclosed herein relate to combining instructions to load data from or store data in memory while processing instructions in a computer processor. More particularly, at least one pattern of multiple memory access instructions that reference a common base register and do not fully utilize an available bus width may be identified in a processor pipeline. In response to determining that the multiple memory access instructions target adjacent memory or non-contiguous memory that can fit on a single cache line, the multiple memory access instructions may be replaced within the processor pipeline with one equivalent memory access instruction that utilizes more of the available bus width than either of the replaced memory access instructions.

  • Publication number: 20230050783
Abstract: A memory array includes memory cells forming a data word location accessed in response to a word line signal. A data sensing circuit configured to sense data on bit lines associated with the memory cells. The sensed data corresponds to a current data word stored at the data word location. A data latching circuit latches the sensed data for the current data word from the data sensing circuit. A data modification circuit then performs a mathematical modify operation on the current data word to generate a modified data word. The modified data word is then applied by a data writing circuit to the bit lines for writing back to the memory cells of the memory array at the data word location. The operations are advantageously performed within a single clock cycle.

  • Publication number: 20230048292
Abstract: A military vehicle includes an engine, an energy storage system, an accessory drive coupled to the engine and including an air compressor and a first motor, a second motor coupled to an axle, and a clutch positioned between the engine and the second motor. The clutch is spring-biased into engagement with the engine and pneumatically disengaged by an air supply selectively provided thereto based on operation of the air compressor. In an engine mode, (i) the clutch does not receive the air supply such that the engine is coupled to the second motor and (ii) the engine drives (a) the accessory drive and (b) the axle through the second motor. In the electric mode, (i) the first motor drives the air compressor to compress air to facilitate supplying the air supply to the clutch to disengage the clutch and decouple the engine from the second motor and (ii) the second motor drives the axle.

  • Publication number: 20230049395
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and computer-implemented method for character recognition in a payment card. The method includes receiving an image of a payment card and one or more details associated with the payment card. Further, a derivative of the image is determined based on the one or more details and a horizontal sum of pixel values is determined for a plurality of rows in the image. Furthermore, one or more Regions of Interest (ROIs) are identified in the image by comparing the horizontal sum of pixel values with a predefined first threshold. Subsequently, one or more characters in the one or more ROIs are extracted using one or more peak values in a histogram of the one or more ROIs. Finally, each of the one or more characters extracted from the one or more ROIs is recognized using a trained Artificial Intelligence technique.
