  • Publication number: 20160341636
Abstract: A method and production surveillance device to perform oil and/or gas upstream surveillance that generates one or more real-time patterns from sensor data received from one or more sensors. The one or more real-time patterns are compared with one or more pre-defined patterns. A confidence prediction score is determined based on the comparison of the one or more real-time patterns with the one or more pre-defined patterns. One or more alerts are generated based on the confidence prediction score to perform oil and/or gas upstream surveillance.

  • Publication number: 20160308901
Abstract: Methods and systems for an integrated solution to flow collection for determination of rate-based DoS attacks targeting ISP infrastructure are provided. According to one embodiment, a method of mitigating DDoS attacks is provided. Information regarding at least one destination within a network for which a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack status is to be monitored is received by a DDoS attack detection module coupled with a flow controller via a bus. The DDoS attack status is determined for the at least one destination based on the information regarding the at least one destination. When a DDoS attack is detected the flow controller is notified of the DDoS attack status for the at least one destination by the DDoS attack detection module. Responsive thereto, the flow controller directs a route reflector to divert traffic destined for the at least one destination to a DDoS attack mitigation appliance within the network.

  • Publication number: 20160234626
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for peer-to-peer (P2P) group owner (GO) multi-channel concurrent (MCC) operation and an associated absence period indication for legacy client devices. In some aspects, an absence period during which a peer-to-peer (P2P) group owner (GO) is unavailable to receive transmissions from client devices wirelessly coupled with the P2P GO may be identified. A notice of absence (NoA) may be transmitted by the P2P GO, the P2P NoA indicating the absence period if the client devices wirelessly coupled with the P2P GO include a P2P client device that supports a P2P protocol. A legacy wireless beacon may be transmitted by the P2P GO, the legacy wireless beacon comprising an information element (IE) indicating the absence period if the client devices wirelessly coupled with the P2P GO include a legacy client device that does not support the P2P protocol.

  • Publication number: 20160221241
Abstract: An injection molding machine includes a base, a stationary platen fixed to the base for holding a first mold section, and a moving platen for holding a second mold section. The moving platen is slidably supported on a platen slide surface fixed to the base and moveable along a machine axis between a mold closed position, in which the moving platen is drawn towards the stationary platen, and a maximum daylight position, in which the moveable platen is spaced axially apart from the stationary platen by a platen opening. The machine further includes a carriage support structure slidably supporting a stack mold carriage for holding a mold center section. The stack mold carriage is translatable parallel to the machine axis between a carriage advanced position and a carriage retracted position spaced axially apart from the carriage advanced position by a carriage stroke length.

  • Patent number: 9374807
Abstract: A method for uplink scheduling over a communication channel in a communication network including at least one UE and an eNodeB, is described. The method comprises determining whether the UE is associated with at least one of Guaranteed Bit Rate (GBR) bearers and non-Guaranteed Bit Rate (non-GBR) bearers. Based on the determining, for each of the GBR-bearers and the non-GBR-bearers, computing a demand for resources for establishing an uplink communication, wherein the demand is computed based physical layer characteristics and transport layer characteristics associated with the communication channel. The demand computed is communicated as a request message to the eNodeB. In response to the request message, receiving an allocation of the resources for uplink scheduling from the eNodeB.

  • Publication number: 20160105499
Abstract: Redirecting message flows to bypass load balancers. A destination intermediary receives a source-side message that includes a virtual address of a load balancer as a destination, and that is augmented to include a network address of a destination machine as a destination. The destination intermediary determines that a source intermediary should address subsequent network messages that originate from a source machine and that are associated with the same multi-message flow to the destination machine while bypassing the load balancer. The destination intermediary modifies the source-side message so the destination for the source-side message addresses the source machine, and passes the modified source-side message to the destination machine.

  • Publication number: 20160066274
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for using low energy (LE) signaling to indicate to a wireless station (STA), prior to transmission of a beacon, whether the beacon will further indicate that an access point (AP) has data to transmit to the STA. In one aspect, a method may include receiving, using a first radio of a wireless STA using a LE communication protocol, a first signal comprising an indication of a traffic indication map (TIM) of a wireless local area network (WLAN) beacon, and selectively powering up a second radio of the wireless STA to receive the WLAN beacon in response to the indication. In one aspect, the wireless STA may power up the first radio at a predetermined interval prior to a target beacon transmission time (TBTT) of the WLAN beacon.

  • Patent number: 9246998
Abstract: Bypassing a load balancer that initially appeared in a multi-message flow from a source machine served by a source intermediary and a target machine served on a target intermediary. One or more original network messages (and perhaps just the first) of the flow arrive from the source intermediary at the load balancer, which selects which machine is to be a destination machine, and it turns out selects the destination machine serviced by the destination intermediary. In response to receiving this message, the destination intermediary instructs the source intermediary to transmit subsequent messages in the flow in a manner that bypasses the load balancer. To facilitate this, the source intermediary may modify addressing of subsequent flow messages from the source machine such that they are rerouted to the destination machine without addressing the load balancer.
