    Abstract: The devices, systems, and methods described herein are directed to a procedure for automatically switching which cell serves as the Primary Cell (PCell) for a user equipment (UE) device connected to a network via two different communication paths. In some examples, the PCell transmits a message to the remote UE device, indicating one or more conditions that will trigger automatically switching from using a first cell as the PCell to using a second cell as the PCell. In response to one or more of the conditions that will trigger automatically switching being met, a procedure is performed to automatically switch from using the first cell as the PCell to using the second cell as the PCell. In some examples, the remote UE device will transmit a report to the PCell, indicating that one or more of the conditions that will trigger automatically switching has been met.

The base station tracks the locations of the reporting UE device and other UE devices and identifies at least one cluster UE device that is within a maximum distance from the reporting UE device. Without receiving wide-beam procedure information from the at least one cluster UE device, the base station applies a MU-MIMO precoder to transmissions through multiple antennas to the cluster UE device where the MU-MIMO precoder uses a wide-beam precoder (W1) based, at least partially, on the wide-beam precoder information received from the reporting UE device.

    Abstract: A network node determines a location of a target terminal device and transmits a location-based CBL to the target terminal device. The location-based CBL comprises information identifying at least one reference signal. The target terminal device measures the at least one reference and conveys results of the measurements to the communication node. The network node applies a MU-MIMO precoder to transmissions through multiple antennas to the target terminal device where the MU-MIMO precoder is selected based, at least partially, on the results of the measurement of the at least one reference signal. In some embodiments, the location-based CBL is based, at least partially, on a precoder-to-region mapping comprising a plurality of region precoders mapped to a plurality of regions. The location-based CBL may further be based on the most recent precoder information received from a reporting neighbor terminal device that is within a maximum distance from the target terminal device.

    Abstract: After determining a paging message is required for a selected user equipment (UE) device, an apparatus evaluates neighbor list data of a neighbor list generated by a reporting user equipment (UE) device to determine the selected UE device is a neighbor device of the reporting UE device. Based on information from the neighbor list, the apparatus determines that the selected UE device is located within a geographical area within a paging area where the geographical area includes a subset of the base stations within the paging area. The apparatus invokes transmission of the paging message only from the base stations in the geographical area without transmission of the paging message from other base stations within the paging area.
