    Abstract: A base station receives a bitrate query from a first user equipment (UE) device being served by the base station. The bitrate query can be a request for a bitrate increase or decrease. The base station transmits a bitrate recommendation to the first UE device. The bitrate recommendation is to be used for a Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE) call between the first UE device and a second UE device. In some instances, the first UE device and the second UE device negotiate the bitrate to be used for the VoLTE call, based on the bitrate recommended by the base station. The first and second UE devices implement a bitrate for the VoLTE call and provide feedback to the base station.

    Abstract: An MBS (master base station), UE (user equipment) and method operate using dual connectivity where the UE is connected to an MBS and a SBS (secondary base station). Capability information is transmitted to the MBS by the UE and indicates whether the UE supports a SCG (Secondary Cell Group) bearer and whether the UE supports a split bearer split in a PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) layer of the MBS. The UE receives from the MBS a message configuring, but not simultaneously configuring, either the SCG bearer or the split bearer to the UE. Radio protocols of the SCG bearer are only located in the SBS, and radio protocols of the split bearer are located in both the MBS and the SBS. One split path of the split bearer goes via the SBS and another split path of the split bearer goes via the MBS and not via the SBS.

    Abstract: In a communication method, a user equipment receives system information broadcast from a current serving cell of the user equipment and indicating frequencies different from a frequency of the current serving cell, the user equipment receives a paging signal from the current serving cell that is different from the system information and includes a request message requesting the user equipment to perform frequency redistribution in which the user equipment selects a target frequency, and performs the frequency redistribution in response to receiving the paging signal including the request message. Performing the frequency redistribution comprises the user equipment measuring quality of the frequencies included in the system information received from the current serving cell in response to receiving the paging signal including the request message, and selecting the target frequency based on a result of the measuring. The user equipment reselects a serving cell on the selected target frequency.

In the cell reselection operation, the user equipment selects, as the serving cell, a cell having a highest ranking determined based on a radio quality and an offset from among a plurality of cells. In the cell reselection operation, when the user equipment is in an enhanced coverage, the user equipment uses an infinite offset as the offset to be applied to a cell where the MBMS service is provided by the SC-PTM transmission, in response to a predetermined condition for the SC-PTM transmission being satisfied, when the user equipment goes out of the enhanced coverage, stop using the infinite offset.
