Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing hydroxyapatite coated ceramics components. In a first step of the inventive method the ceramic component is provided with a Ti coating and in a second step a hydroxyapatite is applied to the Ti coating. The invention further relates to hydroxyapatite coated ceramic components produced according to the inventive method.

Abstract: A method tests a ceramic socket insert of a hip joint endoprosthesis in which, in use, a spherical head articulates against a functional inner surface of a ceramic socket insert which is anchored in a pelvic bone by means of a socket housing. The method includes providing the ceramic socket insert in a holding arrangement, applying a predetermined pressing force to a predetermined sub-area of the functional inner surface of the ceramic socket insert, and applying a supporting force to a sub-area of an outer surface of the ceramic socket insert to counteract the pressing force. The predetermined sub-area of the functional inner surface symmetrically surrounds a pole of the inner surface of a ceramic socket insert. The predetermined force is such that stresses generated in the ceramic socket insert are higher than stresses generated in the case of a physiological load.

Abstract: In a support device for temporarily supporting an article, particularly a cellular telephone, which includes a base body with a support plate and a magnet disposed below the support plate for retaining articles on the support plate, a pivotable bracket is mounted on the base body so as to be inwardly and outwardly pivotable and the bracket includes an arm which extends over the support plate in parallel spaced-relationship therefrom when the bracket is in the outwardly pivoted end position.

Abstract: A ceramic socket or ceramic socket insert for a hip joint prosthesis is tested prior to implantation in a human body by subjecting the portions of the interior of the socket or socket insert to a load that generates stresses that are greater than the physiological load. This may be accomplished either by pressing a hemispherically-shaped deformable material such as polymer or plastic into the interior of the socket or socket insert or by exposing the interior of the socket or socket insert to a fluid under pressure. The interior of the socket or socket insert may be sealed off with a test punch that has a supply line for the fluid. To reduce the amount of fluid that is required, the test punch may have a bulge that projects into the interior of the socket or socket insert and leaves only a gap for the fluid.

Abstract: In a laptop table adapted to be mounted on a steering wheel, a basic body has at one end spaced hooks forming a support structure for supporting the base body on the steering wheel and a table is mounted on the base body so as to be height adjustable and pivot structure are provided for pivotally supporting the table on the base body and locking it in a particular angular pivot position with respect to the base body.

Abstract: In a holder for an object, such as a mobile telephone, comprising a housing having a front part with a front wall and a rear part with a rear wall and a permanent magnet disposed in the housing adjacent the front wall thereof, the front wall has a recess formed therein and an iron plate having a shape so as to be fittingly received in the recess and having adhesive means at one side thereof is provided for attachment of the plate to an object to permit placing of the object on the holder with the iron plate mounted thereon and received in the recess for locating and holding the object on the holder.
