  • Patent number: 6259480
Abstract: The invention includes an interpolation circuit for generating interpolation scanning lines by averaging adjacent scanning lines from an interlaced input video signal. Also included is a motion detecting circuit for detecting the amount of motion of the input video signal. The output signal of the interpolation circuit is connected to an amplitude control circuit controlled by the amount of motion from the motion detecting circuit. The input video signal terminal and the output terminal of the amplitude control circuit are connected to a converter circuit which performs time division multiplexing of the interlaced input video scanning lines and interpolation scanning lines by using a clock 2fH from a control signal input terminal. The clock has a frequency which is two times the horizontal scanning frequency. The motion detecting circuit detects the amount of motion and if the amount of motion is small, amplitude control of the interpolation scanning lines is not-performed.

  • Patent number: 6025222
Abstract: A method for growing a dielectric film containing Sr on a substrate includes the steps of: dissolving a Sr compound containing Sr((CH.sub.3).sub.5 C.sub.5).sub.2 into an organic solvent or mixing Sr(thd).sub.2 and an amine compound to form a source material; vaporizing the source material to produce a gaseous source material; and decomposing the gaseous source material, obtained in the step of vaporization, in the vicinity of a surface of a substrate held in a reaction chamber, to cause a deposition of a dielectric film containing Sr upon the surface of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 5668606
Abstract: A contour restoration apparatus has a plurality of delay circuits connected in series. Maximum and minimum value detection circuits detect maximum and minimum values among an input video signal and output signals of the delay circuits. A mean value circuit is used to calculate a mean value of the of the maximum and minimum values. The mean value is subtracted from a delayed signal having a delay time of one-half of a delay time obtained from all the delay circuits. An adder is used to add the result of the subtraction to the delayed signal. A non-linear processing circuit processes the output of said adder and the maximum and minimum values. The non-linear circuit outputs the output signal of the adder, if the output signal of said adder is between the maximum value and the minimum value. A contour extraction circuit multiplies a signal located centrally among the input video signal, the output signals and the signals located before and after the input signal with a predetermined coefficient.
